Is it okay to take Rennie after Gaviscon?

I've been suffering from bad acid reflux and after a month of a double dose of nexium, I've been prescribed pantoprazole. I'm only on my first full day of day of pantoprazole but am really suffering tonight. Not sure if it's because I haven't taken the nexium this morning like I normally would have and the new medication hasn't started working yet? I've had some Gaviscon but the bad symptoms are kicking in big time (nausea, burning throat and mouth, excess saliva etc.) Fear I'm going to be up vomiting again tonight if I can't settle it! Does anyone know if it's okay to take Rennie after Gaviscon? Or anything else that might relieve some of these symptoms?? Grateful for any advice!

I've been on Lansoprazole for 20 years and when I asked my doctor what to do on bad days he said to use Gaviscon 4 times a day. Hope this helps
