Side- effects of itraconazole
Hi I'm new here. It's like finding friends. I have bronchiectasis following a severe pneumonia 18 years ago. After multiple useless treatments of antibiotics I was given the anti fungal drug, itraconazole. I think the side-effects were worse than the disease. Has anyone else taken this medicine? Would

In a bit of a quandary...I have finally had blood tests done, ( CRP at 120, and ESR at 39) after years of being told by doctors and specialists that I had arthritis, and not much could be done apart from pain medication..Anti inflammatories, panadol, codeine and trammadol. Doctor is now diagnosing me

Grass and ABPA
Hi. I am recently diagnosed with ABPA. I've been on prednisalone for three months with no improvement. My Dr is considering trying me on anti fungal drugs. (I'm awaiting blood and X ray results). My question is. .I live on a non working farm where I walk my two border collies. I walk the dogs daily.

Adverse interactions of herbal supplements and (heart) prescription drugs (Mayo Clinic)
Hello all This article may be of some interest. Although playing its own harp, the clinic does have a good reputation. Cholesterol in high-grade and lethal PCa.
New study below. I was never a fan of statins. My GP offered me one when my total cholesterol went above 200. It seemed absurd that more that half the U.S. population of my age was using statins, when prudent dietary changes might remove excess CVD risk without the need for a drug. But cancer is different

Help me please
Hi, so around 18 months ago I noticed an itchy rash on my lower legs and have been back and fourth to the gp ever since. Constantly taking anti fungal medication. After a bit of googling I realise it could be more sinister. Anyway I've had a urine test and kidneys are fine however they're saying it's

one year off Ibrutinib. Still well....
Just had 4 month check up and I remain well almost a year after abandoning Ibrutinib due to painful side effects. (See previous posts) My WBC is 16.23. Lymphocytes 74.6% (which seem to interest the medics more than the WBC now...) I may not need treatment for months or years. i.e. they have no idea

Top Sante Thyroid article :)
Hi all This months Top Sante magazine (June 2017 UK edition) contains a 6 page feature entitled the essential guide to a healthy thyroid. All the usual areas are covered including what to eat (it recommends eating seaweed for essential minerals- I thought I'd seen that Thyroid patients need to be careful
