Making sense of supplements
hi everyone, having been on the forum now for four days and reading lots of posts about various supplements that may help with improving egg quality - I have a few questions: - I’m currently taking CoQ10 (as recommended by my doc) but just one 200mg tab once a day as it suggests on the bottle, whereas

New Set of Results
Hi all, Haven't posted in a while, so here's an update. I had a thyroidectomy 18 months ago, with no RAI due to ongoing saliva issues. Up until about 3 weeks ago I was doing well on 137.5mg Levo, good energy levels and feeling pretty good. Since then I've been lacking energy, feeling a bit down. and

Unwelcome Set Back
hello there one and all. since my last post I’ve had an unwelcome flare up in my joints causing pain and hideous stiffening. I felt so disheartening going back to square one. the doctor has increased my Prednisone from 15mg to 30mg daily. this set back has created my usually strong mental health

Pain Free
Hi I posted on here a while back to get some advice on painful achilles. I had a gait analysis done at a sports shop & they recommended the magnesium spray and a new pair of Brookes trainers. At the time I have just purchased a new pair of Asics trainers so reluctant to pay for another. I may consider

Second Opinion?
In an earlier post I mentioned a vertebral fracture of my thoracic spine that was discovered only because my General Practitioner ordered X-rays because I'd been complaining of back pain for a very long time. I'd told my Onco-team as well. They shrugged it off every time I mentioned it saying, your

Ashwagandha for cortisol levels
Hello everyone, My thyroid specialist recommended I take Ashwagandha to keep my cortisol level up after a treatment to improve my levels. I took this brand (not sure if I can state the brand) for a couple of months and was fine, then suddenly I started experiencing diarrhoea, then I became violently

Latest results - looking better?
Hi, I had my latest round of Medichecks "Ultimate Performance" results the other day (tested at 9am, fasted as per protocol). I'm doing these blood tests every 3-4 months to try and optimise things; energy, mood, brain-fog. I am doing quite well, subjectively probably somewhat better than previously

Timings of taking vitamins/supplements
This time I have a question about vitamins and supplements. I'm currently taking quite a cocktail in order to sort out my thyroid and because I'm trying to conceive. But I'm confused about which to take when, and which together/not together. This is my current routine: First thing/middle of the night

Some advice please...
Hello All I'd very much welcome your views on these blood test results for my 85 year old father (they were taken first thing in the morning before his thyroid meds). He is active for his age and currently without major health issues (always had a good organic diet and around 10 stone). He has cold

Updated thyroid levels - should i reduce my T4 slightly?
Hello to all you very knowledgeable folk I did some private blood tests to follow up on the introduction of T3 ie 5mg /day in Sept/October. I was going to increase it to 2x5mg after 6 weeks but my heart was a tiny bit jittery so deferred that. Query - given my free T4 level has increased, and TSH

Pins and needles feeling
It all started on Tuesday. I had a bloated feeling and thought it was trapped wind? Took a Windeze and it seemed to help that feeling but then got a tingling in my face which was weird this then progressed to my shoulder's, arms and chest. It then seemed to ease and I just carried on. It was an effort

T4 am/pm split dosing
Hi all, I’m currently taking all my thyroid medication in the morning and then having breakfast 1.5-2 hours later. I avoid taking any of the vitamins that may hamper absorption such as iron, magnesium etc until at least 4 hours later. I’m on 137.5 Levothyroxine (I take 150mcg one day and then alternate

New to RLS…confused, frustrated and a bit frightened.
I was diagnosed with RLS which started shortly after after 2 emergency surgeries I had in late 2021. I assumed I might need iron supplementation, (as I had some blood loss) after reading about iron and RLS, and so I requested a ferritin level check-up from my clinic. It was 31. D3 + K 2 and magnesium supplements
Hi, I don’t know if actually being given levo which suits me for 3 months (Mercury Pharma) or taking the above has helped, but my almost daily episodes of diarrhoea have cleared up. Also, I was having increasing chest pains which have completely cleared up taking vitamin D3. Just in case this helps anyone

Suspected B12 deficiency and about to start SI
Hi everyone, I’ve had ID anaemia (microcytic hypochromic) for over 20 years and was told by a GP many years ago that this was due to malabsorption. I’ve had hypothyroidism since 2014, long covid for the past 2 years, and a vax injury from March 2021 that is only just being investigated by rheumatology
