I didn't know there was a timeframe limitation between T4 and magnesium. I certainly don't apply it

me neither, but I did go research it just in case, there's this:

Certain medications can decrease the absorption of liothyronine. Examples include products that contain aluminum or magnesium, antacids, sucralfate, calcium supplements, iron, bile acid-binding resins (such as cholestyramine, colestipol, colesevelam), simethicone, sevelamer, sodium polystyrene sulfonate, among others. If you take any of these medications, take them at least 4 hours before or after liothyronine. If you take lanthanum, take it at least 2 hours before or after liothyronine.

thank you. That rules out nighttime t3 and Calms drink as a super sleep combo. Pity.

I don't think you have to take magnesium at bedtime for it to help your sleep.

A nice thing about magnesium is you can apply it to your skin instead of taking it orally. If you have it on your skin you don't have to worry about any gaps.

Many people use the Better You magnesium spray. I've come to prefer the gel you rub in over the spray. If you've got any particular aches and pains you can massage it in directly.

Epsom Salt baths (or foot baths) are also good. Magnesium Chloride (also called Magnesium Flakes) is even better than Epsom Salt as it is more bioavailable when used in the bath. It's always been more expensive than Epsom Salts, but with the recent price increases I've found the gap in price has reduced. I usually buy a big bucket of Epsom Salts a few times a year, but have just bought my first bucket of Magnesium Flakes :)

ha yes i too have a bucket of flakes. Some would say I’ve turned into a bit of a flake. I must say I had thought my nighttime drink of Calms was contributing to good sleep but seems I might be mistaken. Meanwhile I am experimenting with timing of the T3, wondering about my afternoon crashes, about to re-read thyroid.ca on circadian rhythm and T3 and generally continuing the never ending search for a full day of reasonable energy levels 🤷🏻‍♀️👍🏻
