Hi,
I had my latest round of Medichecks "Ultimate Performance" results the other day (tested at 9am, fasted as per protocol).
I'm doing these blood tests every 3-4 months to try and optimise things; energy, mood, brain-fog. I am doing quite well, subjectively probably somewhat better than previously - holding down my job in IT. I'm the author of thyroid.chingkerrs.online/. Perhaps normal to be tired in the evening after work and not doing much else.
TSH 0.01 mIU/L (0.27 - 4.2) -6.6%
Free T4 (fT4) 19.8 pmol/L (12 - 22) 78.0%
Free T3 (fT3) 4.7 pmol/L (3.1 - 6.8) 43.2%
T4:T3 Ratio 4.213
C-Reactive Protein (CRP) 1.59 mg/L (0 - 3) 53.0%
Folate - Serum 24.8 ug/L (8.83 - 60.8) 30.7%
Vitamin B12 (active) 107 nmol/L (37.5 - 188) 46.2%
Vitamin D 101 nmol/L (20 - 250) 35.2%
Ferritin 168 ug/L (30 - 400) 37.3%
Iron 16 umol/L (10 - 30) 30.0%
The blood tests give a comprehensive iron, blood panel and many others. My antibodies are very low. My cholesterol has improved with only triglycerides high (and reducing).
I am currently on 125mcg Levo and 12.5mcg Lio. No supplements at this time; I was on Vit D, K2, Vit B12, magnesium and a host of others and I should restart as VitD and VitB12 have dropped.
I recently gave a stool sample (loose movements) and the result showed high calprotectin level (380mcg) which indicates IBD. I am thinking my gut isn't absorbing nutrients properly which I think would factor into my mood, brain-fog, etc. I will be visiting a gastroenterologist ASAP.
At the same time I also joined the Zoe health study. I have (6 days out of 14) hypoglycemic episodes (2.7 lowest, but frequently below 4). I am looking forward to getting the gut-microbiome results to see if that needs improving.
I'm wondering if there's scope to increase my Liothyronine further or other changes I could make?
Many thanks for reading my (over) long post and your continued support.
