Hello
I have been told that a
lung
transplant
could be needed as the condition progresses. I must keep myself fit now . Does anyone have advice as it has to short bursts of exercise as my heart rate shoots up when my oxygen level drops .

Treatment has stoped working - next steps
Hi, Mags here. Well, after 20 months of combination Pemetrexed and Pemulizimab my latest scan shows some further growth in the lymph nodes, although the primary tumour in the lung is fairly static. Accessing second course of Immunotherapy
Hi all I'm posting on here in the hope to find someone who has been able to access a second course of immunotherapy treatment. My mum was diagnosed in 2015 with stage 4 lung cancer. She went straight onto chemotherapy which made her very poorly and didn't do much to her cancer at all. Her consultant

Extrapulmonary small cell cancer
Hi everyone, My wife was recently diagnosed with extrapulmonary small cell cancer which presented in the breast. After having PET scan and brain MRI the cancer was thankfully no where else in her body. This type of cancer is very rare and the treatment is typically the same as for small cell lung cancer

Question for those who have pkd and had a transplant
Hello I am on the waiting list for a kidney transplant and the meantime trying to do all I can to find a live donor. I get quite a lot of back pain with my polycystic kidney . I was wondering for those who had a transplant did your back pain ease at all. I know a transplant isn’t a cure for the disease

CD19 CAR-T cell therapy for B-ALL achieved remarkable efficacy with a complete remission of 70–90%
This looks interesting but way over my knowledge base. Perhaps some of you super brains can figure this out. In recent years, the increasing advancements and applications of cellular immunotherapy have enabled the use of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy, and it has emerged as an efficacious

Your body is incredible. How connected to that are you?
Our bodies are incredible. They're always replenishing through a complex interplay of cell death & new cells. For me, having had a total of 10.5 years on dialysis, 7 of those as a teenager & two kidney transplants, there are so many ways to integrate, heal & remember our inner strength. Yoga is one

Pneumonia Recovery Issue
I just recovered from viral pneumonia after being diagnosed on 11-11-2022. Is it common, after all this time to have good and bad days (meaning feeling well then the next day feeling like a truck hit me) and also my breathing hasn't quite returned to normal either. It's not real bad, but it is noticeable

Liver Transplant Recipients
If you're a liver transplant recipient, please consider taking part in a new study by NHS Blood and Transplant and Imperial College. The ‘MELODY’ study is looking into the antibody response to COVID-19 in people who are immunosuppressed and vaccinated. To take part, you'll need to be over 18 years

Looking for someone going through something similar to me! Metastatic lung cancer spread to lymph nodes and spine?
I’m 40 and have stage 4 lung cancer which has spread to my lymph nodes and spine. Anyone else in the same situation? I’m interested in what treatment you are getting or had that has proved successful? Thank you Kate

Xenotransplantation of pig heart
Hello everyone. I’m sure we have all read about the recent pig kidneys transplanted into humans successfully. Well, it appears it’s been done again but this time it looks like a heart transplant was done. It’s too early to tell, but this case here seems to be more beneficial towards making it a reality
