Aspergillus post lung transplant.
Hi all, Haven’t been in touch for a while now but mercifully still here. Lungaversary last month which I can only describe as a stormy recovery. Trichosporon infection In clamshell wound delayed discharge by 4 weeks. 1 month in ICU with terrifying hallucinations which still haunt me today. Sternum

DAO Supplement + Lung Transplant.
Hello, I realise this is going to be a very strange post, but this is stress that this is a genuine question / request, I may need a
lung
transplant
in the near future. Nothing is set in stone yet, but it's a possibility. I haven't been in contact with a transplant team yet or anything.

Lung Transplant + Fermented Foods
Hello, I have a question for
lung
transplant
recipients: are you allowed to eat anything fermented? I may need a transplant in the near future, but I have a histamine problem which is controlled with antihistamines and DAO tablets.

Lung Transplantation
Hello, I just wanted to ask the community whether they had been through the process of being assessed for a
lung
transplant
or not? What was your experience with the assessment? Did you get accepted as a transplant candidate? What condition did you have that led you to get assessed?

Lung damage, ECMO, time taken to recover.

Hi, I am absolutely useless with technology…… I wrote a lengthy update about myself, this drug, other drugs, hospital stay, decline of
lung
transplant
at Harefield, referral to palliative care, oxygen - sorry goes on and on, just wanted to share the year’s overall experience.

Lung Transplant appointment 28/11/23 Cancellled for the 2nd time due to Failure of Patient Transport
I was supposed to be having my
lung
transplant
assessment today (28/11) at 2.45 but as before the NWAS didnt turn up. The manager at the Transplant section phoned & told me if I didnt come to the hospital they wouldn't see me.

Mycophenolate instead of Perfinedine or Nintenanib?
I have been told I am too old at 62 to be considered for a
lung
transplant
and have also been turned down for the antiscarring medication even though I was initially told this was the plan.

Dr wants to run tests to see if he is a candidate for a
lung
transplant
. But running out of time…dr said without
lung
transplant
he doesn’t think he can keep him alive for even a year. Looking for successful treatment plans. Has anyone heard of treating PF with Food grade hydrogen peroxide?

Bed hair
I can go forward for a
lung
transplant
but you know, I caused this with smoking, I gave up 2 years ago. And I don't fancy having my ribcage opened and someone else's blood in me. Anyway to the question, one for the ladies, or men with hair still on their head 😂.

My my is early 60s and has just had a double
lung
transplant
operation it went well. Mum had been on the waiting list for over a year and is desperate for a normal life not to have to rely on people, struggle or not be able to breathe. She was buzzing for this transplant.

Time flies... when you're having babies!
I don't know how others that have been on the
lung
transplant
list feel but I have definitely found that the mental side of things has got harder with time. For me, a lot of it is frustration tinged with fear that it might never happen.

6 weeks post lung transplant.
Home now and what a relief. 22 days in ICU resulting in muscle waste in legs so starting all over again with stairs etc. Wound pain 8/10 especially when bending or reaching out. 30% loss of vision due to minor stroke at bottom of brain. The docs seem quite happy with results which is brilliant but
