I am 8 months post on 8/14 it has been almost too easy and I am so thankful but my numbers have always been low for a living donor. My doctors tell me everybody is different and no to get caught up in my numbers. I feel great so I suppose if my team is not concerned I should not be either. They have

Brain tumor from liver?
My husband had very strange sensation about 2 months ago. He describes it “electric ants marching from his temple to the end of the arms” and felt nauseous. If I think back, it might have been seizures. It went away after 2 weeks, then he started suffering from daily headache. He always had migraine with

Just got word from the transplant team that they now consider me too high a risk for a double
lung
transplant
. As some of you may remember the assessment work up flagged up a calcification build up in a heart vessel ( LAD) which needed sorting.

UNOS Regions
I'm considering being referred to another hospital for a preemptive transplant but both are in the same USOS Region. They are different states, one in KS and the other in MO. The one in KS is closest but the one in MO says they have a shorter wait time AND the website has all sorts of information on

Loss of Respect for Expertise

Low Sperm Counts
Hi there. I received a kidney transplant 6 months ago. We want to have one more baby (we had three pre transplant and conceived them very easily) but a recent test showed I pretty much have zero sperm. Has anyone encountered this, and if so, did you find any causes related to kidney transplant...medications

What should I bring to the hospital for my 2-night stay? I live in a second-floor apartment. Will I be able to do the stairs? How many immunosuppressants are you on post-transplant, and for how long? I know the Mayo transplant team (Phoenix) will tell me some of this ... I'm just curious about
