Vaccinations for covid19 done after Transplant: if you got covid19, what were symptoms and outcome
My spouse had his transplant 3.5 yrs ago and we both received our covid19 vaccination/booster shots afterwards. If you got covid19, what were your symptoms and outcome. If you know how you got it, please share. We have been living very isolated for 3.5 yrs. We do not go into anyone's house or allow them

Food Choices After Transplant
I am scheduled for a kidney transplant from my sister on July 6, 2022. I've been eating plant-based foods for a few months (suggestion from my nephrologist). I plan to continue the same, only adding some fish and maybe chicken. My question: Are there any diet restrictions during the period of recovery

Immunotherapy and the 2 year limit
There are many people on here worried about what happens when they or their loved ones 2 years are up with their immunotherapy treatment. I was the same. My mum was put on this when chemotherapy didnt work on her stage 4 NSCLC and it amazingly shrunk her cancer by 80% in just a few months. When it

Hi My husband had a liver transplant in 2019 and has started to feel unwell again. He had a fibroscan today and his results were 4.4 but am unsure what that means. He is having major breathing problems due to COPD, emphysema and suspected asbestosis so had to take steroids for a while which has caused

The oncologist wants to do a PET and CT scan the same day. Is it necessary to do both?
The oncologist wants to do a CT and PET scan on the same day this month. My husband is now stage IV NSCLC and had both these tests done in February. They have not started any treatment yet for him . He only saw the oncologist two weeks ago. He also ended up with congested heart failure late last year

Finally got the Diagnosis!
Hello everyone. I am around here for 2 months now. I must say, it has been a horrible 2 months. Lots of nightmares, unnecessary operations... But today here I am again, writing to you from Copenhagen. I actually moved despite every negative development regarding my disease. I would like to start with

Agitation awaiting liver transplant
My husband and I are constantly arguing over the smallest things. He becomes very agitated and verbally abusive. He has compensated cirrhosis and HCC. He is currently awaiting a liver transplant. Our marriage is in tatters.

Liver Transplant Pre / Post op
Just found out I need a liver transplant in two years. Non drinker, liver disease undiagnosed for 20 years but it looks like its finally packing up. Does anyone live in the Cardiff / South Wales area who may have been through this process so I can get a handle on what I've got coming my way. Only found

Visit with new Hem/Onc Dr went well!
Hi Friends, I had my first visit with my new local doctor. He is Associate Head of Stem Cell Transplant Dept with Ochsner in Louisiana. He does not treat any cancers other than blood. He listened and verbalized understanding that my previous Dr’s were not a fit for me. He reviewed my BMB from Vanderbilt

Kidney transplant medication side effects
Hi Everyone... hope you are all off to a great summer. I've been going through testing to see if I can be put on the kidney transplant list. They do SO many tests! Whew! My gfr fluctuates between 11-13 and has gone to this number fairly quickly. After meeting with the pharmacy side of a transplant

Transplant assessment delay - thanks for nothing PCR test!
Today I was expecting to be starting the process of thinking over whether I want to go ahead with a future
lung
transplant
or not. Instead, I'm having to put everything on hold after falling at the final hurdle ahead of my
lung
transplant
assessment which I was due to undergo today and yesterday.
