Hi, 5 years post transplant. Had three days flu like symptoms - fever, sore throat, cough. Called by my renal unit to go in for antibody treatment. Felt much better next day. Felt washed out for a few weeks and left with a cough for a while. Tested positive for 10 days. As it was my third transplant my dr kept my immune suppressants at the same dose.

Hi Taconeo. I’m a female 63yr old lady, 61/2yrs post transplant which I am fine with. Took covid a couple of months ago. Cold like symptoms but nothing else really at the time as I had my four boosters + had the immune treatment at hospital which you require within 5days of testing positive and it does def help. I showed positive for 11 days however nephrologist said I could go out after 7 days but I didn’t. I had bloods straight after above and it had upset my function slightly and then along came a urine infection for two months which didn’t help either. Still getting regular bloods taken as closely monitoring the aforementioned yet, however things slowly getting better🙏🏻 main thing is we’re still here some people didn’t make it..Got to say renal team are very caring and thorough and looking after me. So try & stay positive for all the above treatment does save us from taking seriously ill & out hospital. Live your life as your doing and stay positive. Take Care…

Hi, I had two COVID positive tests, one in 2020 before vaccines were available and another one this year. Mild symptoms, had some weakness, lethargy, fever that dissipated within a couple of days. I’ve been a vegan ( no animal foods) for 17 years and no no red meat prior for 27 years. Two biggest recent studies conducted and published in Lancet and British Medical Journal, most prestigious journals, about comparison of vegan diet and carnivor diet. The results revealed that people who consumed no animal products had the best outcomes after diagnosis with COVID; however, humans consuming more meat and generally animal protein and fat dusplayed the highest rates if mortality. Even pescatarians, the ones that consumed plant based diet with addition of seafood, displayed worse COVID outcomes than vegans. Based on thousands of long term studies, populations consuming primarily plants, such as whole grains, legumes, fruits, veggies, nuts and seeds, displayed the lowest all cause mortality rates. Been vegan for 17 years and will NEVER look back,

I had a kidney-pancreas transplant in the past. When I tested positive for COVID, I just had to take 5 days off work as it was required back in 2020 and 3 days off this year; however, I missed only one day of work since it was a weekend. I did not need any medical intervention. Just stayed at home and rested. Back in 2020, I fasted for 48 hours on water only, but I’ve been practicing water only fast since my early 20’s and generally, I’ve been eating pretty much one meal a day.

on my 2nd transplant and last year about 9 months post transplant got a positive covid flo result, hospital called offered me the antibody treatment didn't have it as I was only feeling a slight headache very mild flu symptoms. Did say if symptoms got worse I'd call and come in but only lasted 3 days. I've still not had any boosters my choice but have flu shot.
