Hi My husband had a liver transplant in 2019 and has started to feel unwell again. He had a fibroscan today and his results were 4.4 but am unsure what that means. He is having major breathing problems due to COPD, emphysema and suspected asbestosis so had to take steroids for a while which has caused his diabetes to go into overdrive. I feel so sorry for him - this was NASH cirhosis and cancer in his liver. Not sure what else I can do for him?

4.4 is actually a very good score on F/S under normal circumstances and if the score is correct and in KPA's then any score under 7, 7.5 usually indicates no or minimal scarring. The worry here for you is the symptoms, so it may require a recheck, what are they saying?

Fibroscans seemed to come into general use some time after my TX. Did your hubby get his LFTs tested? Your GP should be able to organise this locally if you live some way away from your TX centre.
