Becoming a grumpy old git !
Hi all, Just an enquiry .... one of my rare ones. It concerns a possible side effect of medication. In the last 6 months or so I have changed three precribed medication. I list these as below ....

Next step in solving the mystery of my burning feet, but need a little bit of advice
Hi all I’m in need of some more advice. As suggested, I’ve tried raising my vitamin levels since Nov 2023 and although not perfect, they’ve gone up. I’m still having burning in my feet so decided to go to a consultant. Below are my most recent bloods. 7th Feb 2024 Medichecks Blood tests

another cervical stenosis update!
going onwards from my last post re my husbands stenosis, we finally got a copy of the neurosurgeons letter to our GP at the weekend. It’s filled me with horror tbh. I know these professionals have to put things bluntly, but he really spelled out a negative picture. Officially classed it as “Chronic

Does anyone know how long surgery is from your MDT meeting?
Hi warriors, I've just had my results from my MDT meeting. I've got to have a consent/discussion consultation and another with a bowel consultation incase I need a stoma. My question is, does anyone have a time scale of when they got surgery after the MDT meeting. I'm under Cambridge team. Thankyou

Hi, I am absolutely useless with technology…… I wrote a lengthy update about myself, this drug, other drugs, hospital stay, decline of lung transplant at Harefield, referral to palliative care, oxygen - sorry goes on and on, just wanted to share the year’s overall experience. I can’t find the update

Concerns with taking Reclast
I am 55 and was diagnosed with osteoporosis in December 2023 ( spine -3.4, femoral neck -2.8, total hip -1.6). Had a DEXA to get a baseline before starting medication for breast cancer. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in August, had surgery, radiation and I’m now on Tamoxifen for 5 years. Reclast

Newbie and confused. Functional B12 deficiency?
Hi everyone, I am new here but I have been a member of the thyroid forum for many years. I've also just joined the Sjogren's and the lupus groups because some of my symptoms could be attributed to these though I have no diagnoses, and the Changing Faces group for my rhinophyma. I have Hashi's and thyroid

What to do when denosumab course ends?
I have been on denosumab injections since July 2019, so the injection that I am to have next month will probably be my last. During this time I have not had a Dexa scan at all. I am under "shared care" between my GP and the hospital, which is in practice a complete joke, as I have to dairy it, order

Don‘t comment about your products or paid advertisements, I just want ADVICE. Which diets make me lose weight the fastest? Before you say "that shouldn‘t matter, it should be healthy" yes, true. But I‘m wasting time. I‘ve been involuntarily holding my weight FOR A MONTH and I don‘t know how and why.

Results Advice Please
A brief bit of information first. Last year I was diagnosed with cancer, resulting in major surgery in June and a long recuperation. (I have been told 12 months is not unusual) I had just started to feel much more normal when I went to the GP for an unrelated matter. She asked how I was, I said I still

Post Surgery Problems : AF and Sinus Tachycardia
I have just had Mimimal Aortic Valve Replacement surgery. I had a tissue valve and the surgeon has described the surgery as a ‘text book’ success. I spent 3 days in ICU and a further 4 in a High Observation ward. I was only discharged once any AF followed by Sinus Tachycardia was stabilised and under

Needle size for Surgery injections?
Yesterday I had my 3 monthly B12 jab and was rather taken aback to be injected in the shoulder with a 21G 1 1/2 “needle which was quite painful unlike when I self inject with 25G x 1” needle. I don’t remember needles being this large in the past and wondered if this is common practice to draw from ampoule
