rise of bg with LCHF
I am using LCHF diet already 4 years. It worked well, but during last 2 months I have often higher bg before lunch in spite of eating the same breakfast each day. Today I have 6,9 mmol/l (125 mg/dl). Usually I have between 5,6-5,9mmol/l. What is cause of such rise of bg ? Not food but may be less

New thyroid test results, better but still having symptoms?
I am still suffering from brain fog quite often as well and my
mood
is quite
low
most of the time. I don't understand why my ferritin has gone up but haemoglobin has gone down.

Up to now I’m starting to feel more
low
mood
as it’s just ongoing. Due to not having my independence due to my poor mobility, I think it all starting to wear me down. I had a bad right leg which I have put down to it compensating for my left leg as this is my effected leg.

Is cream a good LCHF food? (as part of a balanced diet)
Is anyone struggling to keep up to their target weight? I usually break my monthly 72-hour fasts with 500ml of full-fat yoghurt, followed by a cooked brunch. I normally fast 20 hours a day, eating only two meals... but, after lunch, I had my breakfast cereal-free muesli - in a bowl full of double cream

Hi folks. I had a total thyroidectomy approx 4 weeks ago. Having problems adjusting to levothyroxine
Biggest problem is my
mood
/mental state keeps crashing. Feeling Really
low
. They upped my dose from 125 to 150 and it's helped slightly. Also headaches, joint pain, cramps and no energy. My next app is about 10 days away. Anyone else felt like this when starting off?

First meal of the day Had a coffee with 2 tbsp butter and 1tbsp coconut oil - fantastic- not sure how many of these I would be allowed in my 8 hour slot though ? And 3 scrambled eggs, herbs, salt, whipping cream and butter served with 1/2 avocado, 2 slices Parma ham, french beans and red pepper .

I need some reassurance, please
I am convinced by the science, but worried in case I turn out to be a "special case". The back ground is that I have lost a stone and 3in off my waist since January, by eating my own version of extra veg, reduced carbs, and full fat, natural, everything (and haven't eaten sugar for years). At the

Short version: possible Covid back in March, persistent breathlessness helped by salbutamol, was put on Qvar 50 2bd. 5 months on, docs are still saying I'm post-viral and can come off it any time, but every time I try, my lungs feel sore and itch intensely as if I've got mosquito bites inside me. Lowering carbs
I've been reading a lot about LCHF and keto and there are some interesting ideas there. I'm a bit too old and set in my ways for a complete dietary change involving giving up all of my favourite foods. But I wonder if there are any relatively easy changes one can make to lower carbs without going all

Sharp calf pain in right leg. Wk2 run1
Hi all. So the good news. My peak flow is up so my lungs are getting stronger which is fabulous. Went for the first week 2 run of 90 sec jog and 2 min walk. But on the second set I had a twinge in the middle of my right calf. This meant that I had to heel strike for the rest of the set to get it done

I am finding it hard to run at the moment when having sleepless nights and

. Just wondered if there were any tips, I know I feel better after a run, it’s just getting motivated and dressed whilst experiencing hot and cold flushes, it’s completely draining.

Post Vasectomy Pain Syndrome
Once again, I was advised this may take longer to heal. 12 months after the surgery, I cant take it any more, my
mood
is so
low
and now even walking for long distances is becoming an issue. I am in constant pain and noting is taking the edge off it.

Graves’ disease and LDN
Has anyone with Graves been prescribed Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN)? If so, how did you get it prescribed and did you find it effective? Thank you.

Does heat increase blood glucose levels?
This is my first summer since being diagnosed. Since diagnosis I have been on low carb and have lost a lot of weight. As a result most days my readings are in the region of 5.5. Today I have eaten the same food as in previous months but my bg has gone up to 9.1. I have been drinking a lot of water
