Af awaiting surgery
Been to Gp today she wants to increase Frusemide40mg to 50 mg a day to reduce oedema and breathlessness. I am worried as already on losartan which also contains diuretic. When admitted in May they said my kidneys where dry so worried, don't want to damage them more, so she suggested bloods before increase

I've been investigating Losartan
I have been on losartan for years, along with bisoprolol to slow my heart rate, various pills for arthritis and have developed a nasty dry cough and put on loads of weight. I also get leg cramps, tummy upsets, voracious appetite but cannot eat much at a time, chronic anxiety and burning itchy hands

48 hrs post Cryo-ablation
I have just had a cryo-ablation done by Dr Sahu (Sheffield) and all has gone well so far, but time will tell. I have had PAF for about 7 years, getting around one episode lasting 2/3 days every month. Last year things got worse and I went persistent for a period of 3 months and had 2 cardioversions.

I am taking losartan (1 a day) and bisoprolol(2 a day) and my bp is pretty stable at 140/80, (it was sometimes over 200) but I have the dreaded dry cough which troubles so many of us. I have been prescribed omeprazole and ratinidine for the cough which I'm told is acid reflex - not the tablets. I've

Am I experiencing a blood pressure med reaction?
I'll try to be kind of brief... I'm 35 year old male, married w/ two precious girls (4yrs & 3yrs old). About 6 years ago we discovered that I had high blood pressure while checking bp at my inlaws house. We have high bp and high cholesterol in my family so we decided to go to "the families" cardiologist

Weight gain -is there any stopping it?
I have lupus nephritis and am on 5mgs prednisolone, 50 mgs hydroxychloroquine and 100mgs losartan a day . I recently had my first two infusions of rituximab. It seems the disease itself and all those medications predispose one to weight gain and I've proved that, putting on about 3 stone in the last
