Montelukast and levothyroxine

Hi

I have just been prescribed montelukast and it says to take it in the evening which is when i actually take my levothyroxine (I take iron, vit D, Losartan and fenoflixadine in the morning)

How long should I leave between the two in the evening or can I take together?

There no interactions between Levothyroxine and Montelukast. Should be fine as long as you take them 2 hours apart.

Thanks, I've decided to take my montelukast at about 7-8pm and then my levo at 10-11 so hopefully that's enough of a gap

Hi

Montelukast can make you feel depressed & have nightmares - many people have those side effects including me, but I didn't worry as I knew the cause. At least you'll know what it is if it happens!

Thanks, I've been having odd dreams and hopefully that will be the worst I get!

I bet that's what it is - not a huge problem & it really helps to know lots of people get that too. Sadly for me, it did nothing to improve my asthma at all. Hope it helps you though, I really do.
