Breathless after ICD/pacemaker
Since my stent in October 2019 & then the ICD 6 weeks later, I have been breathless and had swollen ankles, neither of which I had before. I had my first MOT on my ICD in January and told the technician of my situation. She told me this would be addressed at my next visit in April, but this has now been

New Raynaud’s Diagnosis
Hi All I was diagnosed last week with Raynaud’s having had numbness and pain in my left foot for about 4 weeks. My toes did the colour change thing in front of the doctor and I also saw a consultant the next day who said it was classic Raynaud’s so that seems pretty decisive. I was prescribed Losartan

LOSARTAN
To those of you who have not seen the news on this, there is hope that Losartan might be able to stop the progression of the Corona Virus. I came across this blurb on the internet the other day, so I Google searched Losartan and Corona Virus and this is the article you want to read: https://clinicaltrials.gov

https://bestpractice.bmj.com/topics/en-gb/3000168/emergingtxs See comment re losartan - its interesting because I have read elsewhere that some were worried that it carried a risk in severe cases- anyone else heard any views.

Left Ventricular systolic dysfunction diagnosed after stroke on 21 July 2019 aged 65
I wonder if anyone is in the same position as me? Stroke on 21 July 2019, thankfully with no physical disability suffered - echocardiogram in August 2019 showed Left Ventricular Systolic dysfunction - referred to cardiologist and first available appointment scheduled for 11 May 2020. GP says as I'm

Statins and PAF meds ... should I worry?
Hi, Wife has just had her annual blood test from GP which shows her cholesterol level as 5.4 mmol/L. This has been flagged as borderline and GP has recommended she goes on statins. She suffers from PAF, but has had no noticeable events since last August when they upped her Bisoprolol following a stay

BP Meds causing bladder problems?
The doctors did an ECG which seemed OK but changed my meds to
Losartan
potassium 50mgs +
hydrochlorothiazide
12.5 mgs with split dose of Plendil 5mgs, once am and once pm. I seemed to have my BP come down better than it was, but still spiked quite often.

Change from Ramipril to Losartan
Hi everyone, I've been put on 50mg Losartan as a replacement for Ramipril which was keeping me up at night coughing. I took my first pill yesterday and today I can hardly lift my arms or legs and my feet are super tingly. I know this can be a side effect but surely not after just one pill? I just wondered

Timing of Pred dose and adrenal recovery
PMR diagnosed March 2019. I had successfully tapered down to 7.5mg by October, but then seemed to get stuck for 3 months. Every time I tried 7.00, pains returned. However, since mid-January, I have been able to get to 7.00 and am now slowly tapering to 6.5. Experimenting early on led to my taking
