Stem Cell Transplant (stc) after care
Can someone who has been through a sct, or their carer, give me info about the time after hospital discharge please? We live more than 30 minutes from the transplant centre so the hospital is providing us with a flat in Bristol where my husband will be my carer. I know the early days he'll need to

high liver enzymes from blood test
hi. I recently had routine blood tests done and when I went for the results the nurse said my liver enzymes were high at 125. She asked me if I drank alcohol and I told her I have about 2 bottles of beer 4 nights a week. She said high liver enzymes are caused by too much alcohol. I was quite taken aback

Trying to understand tests
I just had a positive antibody test for hep C. However, the PCR did not detect antibodies. I think this means I had hep C in the past (though I didn't know it), but don't have now. Do I still need treatment?

Post-Transplant Arterial Line Bruise
Has anyone else experienced inside arm bruises after kidney transplant surgery like this? Very painful, Tylenol won't touch it and they don't want to prescribe anything stronger.

Cirrhosis again
Hi everyone, I’m just a bit worried about my
liver
. I had a
transplant
4 years ago and all was well until recently. I have ascites again. Spironolactone isn’t working for me. Does my replacement liver now have cirrhosis like my own did? How has that happened? Any ideas anyone?

Hypoxia, transplant dry runs and raising awareness of IPF

Dexa scan
I had to have a Dexa scan last Wednesday, arranged by Endocrinologist I’ve only seen once and discharged at conclusion of the appointment. Saw GP yesterday (appt made nearly a month ago after Endo appt) who said I would need medication if osteoporosis identified in scan (as TSH suppressed!). The side

SPIRONOLACTONE . WHEN CAN I STOP TAKING IT?
I'm eager to know others experience and advice about Spironolactone. I was prescribed it 2 years ago when I had Ascites. I have never had a repeat of Ascites since that time, have undergone surgery successfully unrelated to liver issues and had no problems post General Anaesthetic. In short I have been

It's spread to liver and bones. Any advice?
Good morning friends. @I was two treatments in to a clinical trial but the CAT scan yesterday discovered lesions in the liver, bone metestases and some adenopathies. I have been referred back to my own oncologist but in the meantime I am in limbo, wondering if this is the end of the line or if there

PBC/AIH1 Positive
Just as I was wrapping my head around my April PBC diagnosis and taking Urso (which does seem to me improving my liver enzyme levels) a liver biopsy also confirmed that I am also positive for autoimmune hepatitis type 1 (AIH1). I know PBC and other autoimmune conditions tend to run in packs. Does anyone
