Trying to understand tests

I just had a positive antibody test for hep C. However, the PCR did not detect antibodies. I think this means I had hep C in the past (though I didn't know it), but don't have now. Do I still need treatment?

Hi there.. Antibody positive suggest that you were exposed to HCV virus at some point in the past.

PCR Quantitative looks for presence of virus in your body currently and if that came back negative you are not currently infected.

In some people the virus gets cleared without treatment. and seems like you are one of those lucky ones.
