A big THANK YOU to everyone who responded to my question about the gazyva as a mono therapy .. it is really helpful to learn of your experience of when you were diagnosed and whether you are deleted , or unmutated , etc. ..... when you started treatment and with what you were treated with .and how long you had treatment and many of you are are now uMRD or close to it .. all the details so helpful to what my experience might be like .. with the potential of a wonderful outcome ....it is even beneficial to read the dialogue between some of you . it sounds like the combination therapies definitely give the best results ... ... if they can be tolerated ... i was doing great on calquence for 8 months then i became anemic and my platelets are now dangerously low . so waiting for medicares approval to start gazyva . my oncologist said he would have to wait and see what happens with the gazyva before he adds anything else ... here is a quote that my wife has on our wall it reads like this " sometimes God calms the storm but sometimes God lets the storm rage and calms His child " may each of us have that peace that only God can give as the we face the storms of life .... thanks again to each of you who take the time to help each of us look to the future with hope ,,, blessings , james

Hi craterlake,

-

I like your quote: " sometimes God calms the storm but sometimes God lets the storm rage and calms His child "

It is very appropriate for those times our CLL is not boring and causes a personal storm.
