Worried about my ultrasound and lft reports with some symptoms!
I recently had my blood work done randomly as I decided to quit alcohol after 10 years of heavy drinking and got abnormal levels in the lft so went to see a gastroenterologist. My ast is 50, alt is 61.5, ggtp is normal. Bilirubin total is 2.4, albumin is also normal along with the kft and lipid profile

Liver failure, given 3 months to live
Hi , my best friends son is dying from liver failure, they are trying another 5 day IV treatment in hopes his liver will respond, I guess my question is has anyone had any success using BPC -157 ? I'm taking it for my chronic pain conditions & I am grasping at straws trying to help my friend, her son

Re-Introducing Myself
Good morning. I know the ones that have been on here for awhile know me but wanted to introduce myself to those newer to the site. My name is Sharon. Dancing Eyes was the nickname my husband Jimmy gave me because he said my eyes changed color and danced. I discovered Blue Faery a couple of years ago

Fibroscan vs Ultrasound elastography completely different results
Hi everyone I just joined and was hoping for some opinions whilst I wait for my next appointment. I used to HCV which was treated successfully around 8 years ago . My fibroscan result before treatment was 22.9 and was told I have Cirrhosis . After around 2 years of being svr, cured my next fibroscan

antidepressants and liver disease
I have severe liver fibrosis and have had to start taking Escitalopram for depression. My doctor has put me on 15mg but instructions and websites say patients with liver disease should be on no more than 10mg. Anyone else taking this dose or higher which has been approved by your consultant please?

advice
Hi All. First time on here. I’m currently being worked up at Boston VA hospital for a kidney transplant. Being a veteran, the VA will pay for transplant at a community hospital here in Boston. I’m not sure exactly what to expect… any thoughts? Thanks in advance

help with changing hospitals
hi, I’ve been listed for
liver
transplant
in Birmingham. I’m currently being treated for cancer in Liverpool Aintree. They have made so many mistakes it’s unbelievable… They didn’t do bloods for hepatitis and after 16 months of cancer Birmingham discover this is the primary cause.

ozempic / Wegovy question
Hi. I need to lose weight having been diagnosed with cirrhosis and being significantly overweight. I will talk to my doctor about it but just wanted to ask if anyone has had experience of using the new weight loss meds on the market with cirrhosis. I understand they’re under the brand names of Ozempic

Start of my Stem Cell Journey 0.3
Well, where do I start. The transplant team wanted to increase my Rux to 10 mgs which has been really good for me. So much energy hardly any symptoms and overall feeling better. The fly in the ointment is my blood levels are dropping red cells were 80 and my platelets were in the 30’s. My Haematologist
