Worried sick

Hi everyone.I have suffered from NAFLD/Cirrhosis for 12 years and been ticking along usual yearly appointment and six monthly ultrasound scan.

Yesterday I got a rather brief letter stating, for the first time, that my scan was abnormal.

He said the had found multiple tiny areas on my liver but too small to characterise.

I have to get another ultrasound early to investigate.

Obviously I am worried sick and I would have thought a consultation or a phone call at least, would have been more appropriate to advise me.

Has anyone had a similar experience.
