I was taking 15mg of Prednisolone and was then put on 9mg of Budesonide at the same time with the idea of stopping Pred & staying on Bud. Trouble is they told me to stop Pred abruptly after one week without tapering. Last night & today I feel very, very rough. The only way to describe it is like I've

Hi, my hubby is newly diagnosed with decompensated cirrhosis, he had ascites in legs and abdomen a few weeks ago which has now gone. He had an endoscopy today which showed no sign of cancer or varices. However may I ask a few questions. His tummy still seems a little bloated from the endoscopy, how do

Nutritionist denial
Got my formal denial from Medicare for a nutritionist today. Liver was not covered even when asking for an exception, nor was liver transplant. Only things listed were; diabetes, kidney and transplant, weightloss. Nothing about heart although I know there is a heart diet and exercise program, I know

Catheter Removed
Hello my fellow brothers and caregivers. I had my Foley remove 2 days ago and man what a relief. The biggest relief was I am able to urinate on my own with a good flow and it's clear. I went to see two other Urologists yesterday and both confirmed that due to my Pca, TURP would be the best treatment

To continue or not....that is the question
I started treatment in July 2021 after 18 months on W&W. Initially I was treated with Obinutuzumab but I had a severe reaction to the first 20mg and ended up in the A&E resuscitation ward. I was then swopped to Rituximab and Venetoclax, which was explained as normally being a second line treatment which

Enlarged liver
Hi I have been told I have a mildly enlarged liver and fatty liver. The ultrasound was private and wasn't the best at relaying information. I knew I had a fatty liver but the enlarged bit has got me really worried. I don't know what it means. I've googled it but had to stop because it was taking me down

Delusions/Hallucinarions
I became very sick 5 years ago with all the symptoms of PA but was undiagnosed. I got to the point where I started having delusions of parasitosis and hallucinations. Has anyone else experienced delusions or halluconations? I'm afraid my brain may have been permanently damaged?

A Good Day
Saw my new consultant today & my new liver nurse & they were both fantastic. He explained everything clearly to me. He is trying me on Budesonide 9mg a day which is a corticosteroid & stays in the liver longer than pred. I didnt fancy using 6MP after the nightmare I had with Azathioprine. There was
