Struggling with life
I have posted a few times lately, but myself and my partner are struggling. After feeling absolutely crap with ascites and sickness, for the first time since being diagnosed last December, my partner can only focus on the bad. He's such a lovely man, happy, funny. We have loved each other fiercely for

In the depths of health anxiety yet again…
I’m 67, and I’ve suffered from severe health anxiety for most of my adult life - and that could qualify for a post in its own right - but as I’m also someone who likes to drink alcohol, too, I thought I’d post on here. I stopped drinking completely at one time, albeit only for a short while, and

Oopherectomy or Hysterectomy?
Hi everyone, I have been recently diagnosed with endometriosis and adenomyosis. I saw a gynaecologist at my local hospital who said my choices for treatment are either oopherectomy or abdominal hysterectomy as I've had 2 c-sections. There was no mention of a laparoscopy. I also have hypermobility (EDS

Recent c section....pain 4 weeks on
Hi I had a c section 4 weeks ago. I've now got really intense pain I've had fir 48 hours. I thought it was my period but could it be ovulation pain? Is my left side and my back and also partly my right side. Will it be part of my recovery? I'm hoping it's not permanent! The surgeon said my entire uterus

What do you suggest?
An update - hubby readmitted to hospital just over 3 weeks ago, which was only 4 weeks after previous admission.Getting any information from the medical team is a nightmare: I don't know if he's seen a liver consultant or nurse. I gather the kidneys have improved, the albumin infusions have stopped,

Hi all, this is my first post. My Hubby went to gp with chest pain and she decided to do a full blood test. Everything was ok except all his liver markers were low. She sent us to hospital for further tests and liver levels are still low. He has a liver ultrasound booked for Monday. Dr said she hasn

Sensitive Post - Hope for others.
Well, after a seriously long and bumpy road, our gorgeous little girl has finally arrived. Her birth brought further complications including cholestasis, preeclampsia, induction of labourx2, failed forceps and finally emergency C-section. As scared as I was about all of that, we were beautifully cared

Resolved NAFLD / NASH in 6 months!
May 2022 5ft 7 at 234 pounds and 37 BMI. Started to not feel too great. After several investigations, seemed my liver was out of whack. Fibroscan score 19.5. Awaiting appointment with consultant
Last year I was diagnosed as diabetic. Last month I had liver function tests and as a result sent for fibroscan. I was told that the score was 19.5 and I was F4 - cirrhosis. My GP would not comment as not a specialist in this field but has arranged for a full range of blood tests, liver scan and

Fatty Liver and Low White Blood Cell Count
Had a Gallstone attack back in 2007 that led to my Gallbladder being removed. 2 months prior my blood tests showed elevated GGT (79 and 97) and Bilirubin (26 and 23). All other LFTs normal. 2008 I was then diagnosed with Fatty Liver. GGT 112, Bilirubin 22 and ALT now elevated to 52. It’s been a struggle

How long for FIB4 results?
I had my most recent bloods on 31 October. All function tests came back within normal range, though Gamma GT high. I am still waiting on results of the FIB-4 test. Does it always take ages to come back from the lab? Without the FIB 4 result I have no idea what/if any fibrosis is present in my liver
