I've had diarrhea four about 4 days and feel like I got the flue I done a COVID test .. negative I have only had about 2 wees a day too ,I spoke to my GP and he asked if I was yellow,I said no more than usual he said he will give me some immodium ,but I don't want to get bunged up ,I've been taking all my meds except lactulose because of the diarrhea y ext appointment with my consultant is may 22nd so a bit of advice would help please

Hello Ozzie, I hope you're not eating while you read this,

but have you managed to look at the diarrhoea that's coming out? It may seem a strange question, but if it's really dark in colour it could be blood.

Not everyone with cirrhosis turns yellow, that all depends on the amount of bilirubin in your body. So other things may be going on without there being any signs.

If your diarrhoea is very dark in colour then this could be a medical emergency as it could indicate internal bleeding (variceal bleed). I only mention this so it can be ruled out.

Your doctor needs to be more on the ball. He is merely treating the symptoms and not looking at the cause.

Hi Ozzie, Did you find out what was the issue related to diarrhea? I'm having the same issue from last 10 days or so. Tomorrow I'm going for blood work. I went to my GP today but he did not seem to be worried as I was neither yellow or had any swellings. I had a relapse and have been drinking heavy for 2 months. I was diagnosed with fatty liver in 2019. After abstaining for 15 months and eating decent diet, my mind tricked me into thinking that I may have healed my fatty liver by now. Sigh!

My gp sent me for blood tests but never got back to me so I assumed that it was a bug,I stopped the lactulose while I had it and drank plenty of water till it cleared up.
