Lidocaine IV Infusion Questions from New User. Did you get relief? How long did it last? After it wore off was the pain MUCH worse?
Hi I am new here to the forum and found it searching for information on the
Lidocaine
Infusion for chronic pain. Thank you in advance for allowing me to join and for sharing your experiences. I had my first (and probably last!) infusion on April 30.

I also use
Lidocaine
patches which help to reduce surface pain and irritation, if appropriate for you? However these need to come from your pain clinic, as your GP will not be allowed to Rx them (expensive).

I'm waiting on a
lidocaine
infusion or possibly ketamine. Has anyone had either of these and did they work? Any drawbacks?

Gastroscopy.
I took advice from members here and asked firmly for a better sedative. I had spent all night worrying, even developing an asthmatic cough because of the stress. The nurses were very kind, listened to my fears and past experiences and informed the doctor of how nervous and tearful I was. He gave me

Has anyone had IV Lidocaine Infusion for widespread pain?
I have agreed to have this procedure done, it is only experimental at this stage but I have said I will take part in the trial. I told him I will try anything to help this pain. It is being given over 3 infusions at day hospital 2 weeks apart. Anyone else been offered this treatment? Did it help? HAPPY

HI. I'm new here!
No one would help me with any kind of medications until years later a doctor suggested Xylocaine: A brand with
lidocaine
in it. That was a HUGE relief and game changer for me.) And I would honestly just go back to bed after that. I was so lucky to have such a caring and loving partner.

Arthritis Pain
I also use
Lidocaine
Plasters while waiting to see the Knee Specialist. Any advise from other sufferers? I am trying to prepare myself for the long haul for arthritic pain. I have consciously started loosing weight even though I am not obese but pain is no better.

Got out of bed smiling!
Have been having a pretty rough time lately with debilitating pain in my hip. Saw the consultant yesterday, hated him as he pulled and poked and hurt me so much I just lay there and cried. MRI scan arranged, DEXA scan arranged, raft of bloods taken and then he sent me to physio to get a walking stick

Next step for me is trigger point injections?
They want to inject
lidocaine
into my vagina. I've already had a coccyx block so I know
lidocaine
does not really numb the pain. Anyone have this done or any suggestions?

Hi! I've mentioned this before but I'm in the USA and noticed different tx's for BD. I'm wondering what sort of tx's are used for ulcers.
I use
lidocaine
and pain pills currently to deal with flares and between 5-15mg of prednisone daily to prevent them. I'm so tired of living with pain. I'm seeing a new rheumo in November and want to be able to say, "I've looked into xyz." Thanks in advance.
