lidocaine?
A doctor is recommending I try a
lidocaine
patch for diagnostic reasons. Does anyone have experience with it or know if it is contraindicated for afib? It is apparently a sodium channel blocker. It is sold over the counter as IcyHot etc. Thank you so much!

Lidocaine Patches/Gel
I have read that
Lidocaine
patches really help but are no longer available on the NHS according to my GP as they are very expensive. Does anyone have any experience of the following: Getting a private prescription and if so, how much the patches cost?

Saw the Consultant today who proposed
Lidocaine
Patches! Unfortunately he then went on to say that the funding for this medication has been stopped! Does anyone have any experience of this treatment as to whether it’s effective or not.

Eating only soft foods and
lidocaine
mouthwash to help. My eye dryness is good on some days. Still using prescription drops. I’m still loosing hair. All this with no pain is a Catch 22. Still fatigue but sleeping better.

Evidence that lidocaine (a local anaesthetic) has anti cancer properties
Lidocaine
under both normoxia and hypoxia had no effect on Nav1.7 mRNA expression. VGSCα protein expression was suppressed by
lidocaine
under normoxia but no effect was seen in hypoxia.

lidocaine infusion didn’t work - I feel so down, what should I do?
So I went to a private doc who suggested
lidocaine
infusions. I had my first infusion 4 weeks ago, and it hasn’t worked :( I feel so down. I don’t know what I should do now. Does
lidocaine
sometimes only work after 3 or 4 infusions? I thought I saw that somewhere. Or is Ketamine better?

Pain Concern
The shot is a combination of
lidocaine
and a steroid. The
lidocaine
will numb for around 6 hours, but the steroid can take a few days to work. My concern is--- after the the numbing wears off, will my shingles pain be worse? I have not slept all night worrying and in pain from these shingles.

I was given Oramorph and have now had MTC Morphine added in addition to
Lidocaine
Patches. I’ve been under the Pain Management Consultant for a few years now but at my last appointment he said there’s no further help he can offer me.

Fatty Liver and Lidocaine teeth extraction, safe? Anyone else have extraction/dental work?
I will be getting
Lidocaine
for local, you know the typical teeth extraction use
Lidocaine
to numb and extract the teeth. Should I worry about my Fatty Liver on the
Lidocaine
?

Need advice
Two grueling 12-13 hour visits to ER.... pain being treated with Ocycodone, Muscle relaxer, Tylenol,
Lidocaine
patches. It seems to me like the pain just keeps moving. Get it under control in one area and it pops out in another. This has progressed rather quickly in past two weeks.

First Biopsy Experience
Next, he numbed me up with high doses of
lidocaine
, which worked very well. The individual needle pokes felt like how a rubber band snap on your wrist feels. A quick sting. I wore ear plugs so that I couldn't hear the "click" sound of the needle gun.

Paying less for some drugs
I went to Walgreens the other day to pick up
lidocaine
5% ointment, which I use for the peripheral neuropathy in my feet. I had switched my Part D plan in January and my new plan wanted $168 for a 1 oz tube. I asked them to hold it for me and called the insurer.
