Lidocaine infusion
Hello Crissy,
I have never had it so cannot help you there but can provide you with this link to our website about infusions;

I look forward to others comments about their experiences

Hi Crissy, for the last 5 years, I've had lidocaine infusions every 4 months. The whole process isn't too bad. It takes 3 hours - I always take an audio book to listen to while I'm having it, as it's rather boring otherwise, but I'm so used to it now, I usually go to sleep!
It's definitely worth having. In the beginning it helped the pain a lot for a month or so. Sadly, it seems to become less helpful over time and I'm waiting now to have occipital nerve injections (and possibly botox injections) instead.
Hope you find it helpful.

Hi I've had lidocaine infusions the past. 9 months every 6 weeks they worked well my Pain was manageable. I've now had my first lot of trigger point injections and I've deteriorated. Hope it goes well xx
Thanks for ur help iv had the trigger point injections they fisnt last ling thats y im having this x
I have been having the infusions every 3 to 4 months since 2007 and they have been the only treatment that has made any real difference to the quality of my life. I find that the day after the infusion I sleep a lot, and they tell you not to drve afterwards so you need another way to get home, preferably accompanied by someone. For me they reduce the fibro pain by well over 50% and I also use Pregabalin and Duloxetine supplemented with co-proxamol which my GP still prescribes when I am at my worst.
Thanks everyone iv had my first one on sat they said it takes 10 days to work i did feel very sleepy for two days heres hoping x
