Have you ever doubted your test results?
I am based in the UK - and have been feeling a bit rundown for quite some time - and it turns out my kidney function went from a GFR 80 down to 65, then 67 - then a blood test most recently with GP a GFR over 90 - and my creatinine was 64. I thought - my GFR has never been over 88 - never mind 90 and

Help with blood test results, heart palpitations, and T3 question
I have Hashimotos and have a new GP. I've been feeling frequent heart palpitations and am wondering if I am over-medicated. A few years ago, after two years of desperate tiredness when my then GP kept switched my levothyroxine doses up and down between 50 - 75 - 100mcg depending on my TSH reading,

Cholesterol control
I asked him how bad it was and he said cholesterol is 5 and bad
LDL
is 2.4. I am a bit confused as this figure is good according to NHS own figures. Anybody else experiencing similar problems and being bullied in to statins?

Hashimoto’s & Globulin
Been trying to look if there is an connection with Hashimoto’s and a slightly raised Globulin result. I always thought Hashimoto’s caused inflammation in the system. The range was 35 and my result was 37.7 I am over weight, but I don’t drink. My liver results and kidneys are all in range. The only

Anybody try LDN?
I was wondering if anyone has tried low dose naltrexone (LDN) for their PMR? My Functional Medicine GP has said that she has successfully treated many of her patients with a variety of conditions using this medication at very low doses. I am sure my Rheumatologist would not agree to prescribing since

Preventing Heart Disease When You Have Rheumatoid Arthritis: Which Tests Do You Need?
A lipoprotein panel should yield several numbers: total cholesterol,
LDL
cholesterol (the “bad” kind, which contributes to the buildup of plaque in your arteries), HDL cholesterol (the “good” kind, which helps remove
LDL
from your arteries), and triglycerides (another type of blood fat).

Treatments for Hashimotos antibodies
Hi all, I have already gone gluten free and have started supplementing properly particularly with selenium to lower my Hashimotos antibodies, just been upped on levothyroxine to 100mg to get my TSH under 2.5 as I will be trying to conceive soon. Also had a recent miscarriage which may have been due to

GP and Cardiologist Disagree On Statins
After bloods tests, he wanted me on statins and BP meds (BP is -140ish/90 and
LDL
of 159. Normal HCL, triglycerides, normal blood sugar. My Calcium test scored was 1.4 which is not 0 but it's barely over the threshold into the minimal category.

More on SAD and keto
I haven’t had a problem with alcohol, just the standard American diet ie SAD diet. It’s pretty standard in keto world that HDL goes up and triglycerides go down. When you go low carb you almost invariably go high fat. Thus it would seem to me to lower the saturated fat in blood plasma keto is the way

Today's results showed I had total cholesterol of 5.2 mmol/L with breakdown below: HDL=1.5 /

ET OR MYELOFIBROSIS
Hi! I am new to this. You guys Who have ET, did you have any raising levels in LDH? Or anything else other than high platelets? How is the prognosis with prefibrotic myelofibrosis? Do everyone get myelofibrosis? Thank you!

update after seeing a specialist
Its been awhile so I just wanted to give an update and maybe I can help someone else. I was diagnosed back in September with ET CALR type 1. I was asymptomatic with platelets in the 600's (now 700's) found on a routine blood work up. I saw two local hematologists that I was not comfortable with so
