Let's talk about BP and CKD. (Take your ACE at night if using it for BP too?)
The bedtime administration of blood pressure medications was also associated with improved renal function, lower prevalence of non-dippers, lower
LDL
-cholesterol, and higher HDL-cholesterol. " That's some significant result, that last para.

Hepatotoxicity and Docetaxel
Dear Community I have evidence of reduced liver function while undergoing Docetaxel Chemotherapy. I have had my third cycle 8 days ago. Side effects from the chemo are inconsequential except for hepatotoxicity (which causes increased fatigue). Blood test results the day before chemo 3 : Liver, ALT

Thursday 9/9/2021 was D for Decision Day--Locked and Loaded for Chemotherapy
I met with the oncologist and ran through my agenda efficiently. He was patient and spent a reasonable amount of time answering questions. As time went on, he suggested that the top 2 options, for the moment, were chemotherapy and radium 223. The oncologist said there isn’t a rush to begin, with no evidence

Blood results for Vit D and Cholesterol
Cholesterol I can see the HDL is good, but don't understand the
LDL
as there is no reference for that. My diet, even more so now, is good, although I do now eat more cheese and yoghurt than I ever have in my life. But hope it's not because of that.

Associations of fat and muscle mass with overall survival in men with prostate cancer: a systematic review with meta-analysis
New study below. [1] I think it clarifies claims that "fat" has a survival value - which contradicted many studies that found higher BMI to be risk factor. It has long been recognized that the body mass index [BMI] is a poor surrogate for visceral fat. Visceral fat - including periprostatic fat - is

LDH
I know that high LDH is associated with progression to MF although could be lots of other reasons for a high LDH. However is it possible to have MF and not have a high LDH? I’m wondering whether I should have another BMB (it’s been four years since the last one) but my LDH is low and bloods stable. Hence

Dos’ & Don’ts’ for CLLers.
I’m a bit apprehensive about this post, but it’s about a wish list of dos and don’ts that dummies like me would cherish. It would be great if people in the know of things would build up on something like this. Perhaps segregating this wish list into W&W group and Treatment group may also be considered

The role of vitamin D in subjective tinnitus—A case-control study
Tinnitus and Vitamin D are both frequently mentioned here. Add in the TSH and this looks very interesting. Although I have long had tinnitus (and, as I type, it is driving me a bit bonkers), I have never noticed any obvious relationship with taking vitamin D supplements nor with levothyroxine dose.

Blood Test results -3 weeks after 2nd LU-177 infusion
Just got my blood test results done, 3 weeks after my 2nd LU 177 infusion. PSA came down from 4.08 to 0.814. Great improvement. Both Oncologist and Radiologist were happy with the results. I was concerned with both CEA and CA are increasing above the threshold but the oncologist told me not to be worried
