Is anyone else doing this for their cancer?
Hello, this is my first posting on this website in February of 2017 at age 72, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. The doctor said it was stage 4 and 9 on the Gleason scale. If that was not enough the cancer had also metastasized to my bones. This is not the kind of news anybody wants to hear but

If it's not thyroid what is it?
Hello, so I am starting to feel like a fraud. Please bear with me as it's a bit long: 3 months ago, after 4blood tests, the Dr finally said I have thyroid/antibody problem and prescribed 50mcg Levo. These were my results before: c-reactive protein 10 (<5mg) TSH 2.25, (0.35 - 5.5 mU/L) Free

Scared about hep c.
In 1974 I was diagnosed with with hepatitis. The doctor wasn`t clear about what type, but he told me that it was an Australian virus. I recovered very quickly & have had normal liver function tests ever since. There is one other thing that`s worrying me, I had a blood transfusion in 1983 after an operation

Immune system - confused 😵
I cannot wrap my head around immune systems. I know my immune system is attacking 'self' and targeting certain areas but that's as far as i get! My daughter had a sire throat and snuggles but i have caught it and am officially declaring 'man flu '🤒 I am not on immunosuppressants so why do I get everything

Day 1 of Epclusa
Hi everyone, took my first Epclusa tablet today, I had been very nervous about the meds but it was ok, the 2 litres of water I have to drink daily is a challenge but I think I can get used to that, however it does mean many trips to the loo. I am type 3a no cirrhosis, Alt 61 but don't know my viral

Scary symptoms
I have been losing weight over the past 4 months, from 167 to 123. I have been anemic for years, and in rhe beginning of this 4 months, the symptoms were vague and i thought it was the flu. Doc said i had extremely low iron and vitamin B12 deficiency. as well as vitamin D. I am on all of these still

Revised version of the list of things to try.
It must be a year since I posted a draft for comment. There have been a few changes so I thought it might be a good time to post this. I know its long but its not a book, just a list of things that have helped some people. Hi I assembled this list from reports on the forum and other sources just

Fish Oil - Little Benefit
There was a news item on the BBC (I cannot post link on my dumb phone) that said researchers had found there was no real evidence that fish oil was beneficial to the heart. Indeed it was taken off prescription years ago. There does, however, seem to be benefits to general health from Omega 3 if not specifically

Sleep Apnea Test (Out-Patient)
Finally, after nearly two years of going to the GP with extreme fatigue amongst other symptoms, I've been referred to a specialist. The hospital put me under the lung-function department for a sleep-apnea test. Had my appointment for next week after what feels like forever! I'm just wondering what will

Blurry eyes, ear pain & low mood
Hi all Looking for advise on what to do. I’m currently on 125mcg levothyroxine a day. This was increased in January from 100mcg. Initially felt a little better, but symptoms have never really abated. I have one very blurry eye, pains in my ear ( inside & behind) . A very low mood. Stomach problems
