Newbie - first post
My 9 year old son suffers daily soiling, we have tried everything, various diets, various
laxatives
, sitting on toilet so many times a day, loads of blood tests and even clean prep to see if there was impaction (which there wasn't), the list goes on.

Has anyone tried this
My GP Dobbs me off with
laxatives
which for someone recovering from an ED i wouldn't say is very professional. The only thing I haven't tried is gaining more weight,I'm still at a BMI of 17.9/18.3i always stay in that ridgid frame by exercising excessively or eating a very healthy diet.

Newly diagnosed IBS
However when I mentioned to the GP it's worse when I'm constipated she's going along the lines of IBS and prescribed me
laxatives
and mebeverine. I'm a slim build but I often get mistaken for being pregnant because my belly is so bloated.

Maintenance Dose - Grrrrr!
Came across the ERIC website where I learnt about
laxatives
and disimpaction. Armed with this new info I went back to the GP who prescribed sennakot syrup for her. I was able to disimpact her easily enough, but I just can't get the maintenance dose right.

Anyone out there?
His not constipated so his never been prescribed
laxatives
. I'm so sad, I'm sad for him and us as a family because it is having an impact on everything. His still in pull ups, aside from at home but I feel he should not be using those now as they may be a 'false comfort'. I'm at a loss.

Hi first time posting, looking for support and advice on what to do.
GP sent me on weight loss scheme and prescribed various
laxatives
. My body suddenly 'crashed' one day in January this year- I felt very weak, shakey on the inside, weird dizziness and foggy brained and spent a week feeling horrendous, then went to my GP.

I suffer with Severe IBS - At whits end now
I started to get constipated a lot, i was given all types of
laxatives
until fybrogel and movicol seemed to work well. I developed severe hemorrhoids which had to be operated on. The operation did the trick but in getting rid of them I then developed more issues. 1.

Questions to ask please
She is often sick, has bad indigestion and is taking a couple of
laxatives
per day. She's been given Nefopam Chloride for pain relief which I think are helping but I'm assuming the pain is her diverticulitis. She's had no support from a colorectal nurse or anyone up until now.

No luck so far
Normal
laxatives
do not help. I also tried to flush (ew) with no total success. Any suggestions? I have a diagnosed IBS but I think it´s the constipation gone on for years that is causing me the problems (cramps and pain). I feel awful, no energy.
