4yr old - suspected constipation?! Please help us.
We were prescribed movicol
laxatives
and were told to do a disimpaction which lasted 2 weeks. Following this he was a bit better, going every other day and good consistency whilst on 3 sachets of
laxatives
, however still bouts of overflow soiling inbetween.

Help
Even with taking
laxatives
I can only go now and then and mostly in just pellets. This has destroyed my life. I can no longer hold a job down as I had to take to much time off, and once when working had to be picked up by my mum since I fell down and couldn’t stand back up.

Laparoscopy recovery times and tips
discharge nurse suggested: - to wrap a towel around my tummy in case I need to cough which was a good tip, walking as much as I can to get things moving - not to bend too much - keep wearing the compression stockings for approx a week - eating light / soft and liquid foods and taking mild / herbal

New to the IBS Forum I have chronic IBS C
What I can't work out is why my bowels will not work without the use of
laxatives
. I have made significant life style and diet changes (increased fibre and almost excluded bread). My pain level has significantly reduced. When I ask the Gastro Consultant all he says it's part of the IBS symptoms.

Considering home schooling for a while to get on top of my son’s soiling...
He is under a specialist where we live in Denmark and is on regular
laxatives
, toilet sits after meals and until recently enemas. His recent scans show his constipation is well managed but he no longer gets the signal he needs the toilet so soils regularly.

Pain relief - what's best?
The GP was unable to change much last night (I hate a Friday crisis) , the home is monitoring her pain levels and when and how it happens and the GP has prescribed additional
laxatives
and is meeting us on Monday to discuss. It just didn't feel right?

Thoughts &ideas on fatigue
Exercise, especially walking, is one of nature’s
laxatives
. So, could this just be purging my system more quickly of the HU? Curious about your thoughts.

Predicting IBS C or D
I have had many near misses but yesterday I had a VERY embarrassing accident, I had used
laxatives
as a last resort on Wednesday and Thursday morning, well Milk of Magnesia actually both times, a larger laxative dose.

Just started on our laxative journey
Since having
laxatives
there seems to be more poo in the bath which is getting him even more distressed than usual. So any advice or reassurance would be great, thanks x

Linaclotide - a potential saviour for IBS-C sufferers?
Admittedly, emptying my bowels resembles Niagara Falls but it's a fantastic feeling in comparison to chronic constipation and vile
laxatives
- which only served to make my painful IBS symptoms 10 times worse. I've now been on Linoclotide for 5 months.

Gynaecology specialist
however i went to the gynaecologist and she basically dismissed everything i said, and told me because of my age (i'm 19) i probably don't have it. i told her all my symptoms but for some reason she only took notice of the bowel thing, saying that all my pain was due to constipation and so gave me
