Resolor/prucalopride
My gastroenterologist has given me these to try instead of relying on
laxatives
. Over the last year I've been constantly bloated and uncomfortable and only seem to have bowel movements if I take dulcolax.

Update and ideas!
The whole thing is just a bit anti-social, but stronger
laxatives
aren’t recommended and I’m not sure of the wisdom of taking old fashioned remedies like Andrews or bi-carb. Any ideas for this slightly unpleasant problem would be welcome.

Severe problems for over a month. Does this sound like IBS? Please read.
I was also badly constipated and over the counter
laxatives
and Magnesium Citrate did not help. I finally decided to contact a clinic who specializes in digestive diseases and they performed an EGD and colonoscopy on me monday July 22.

Sharing a chat with a paediatric surgeon
So I would say from that, even after a disimpaction, keep the poo as loose as porridge with the
laxatives
, don’t aim for solid poos for 3 months. I guess the child needs to be disimpacted AND healed before he or she can even think about pushing again!

They don’t believe me!
I saw a specialist and he said my bowel is full and have my some
laxatives
. I have also got to have some tests done to see what my bladder is like and why I keep having this problem. He said it could be because my bowel is so full it is disrupting my bladder.

Is this the end of life?
The huge amount of various
laxatives
seem to have stopped working and he now has an enema once a day. He has puréed food because he is struggling to swallow. I guess what I’m asking is this the end now? Has anyone else watched a loved one go through this?

Trying the FODMAP and taking some
laxatives
. I also drink a lot of water and herbals and walk everyday 20+20 mins to go to work. Two months ago I took a CT scan that was clear but I am still thinking about nasty causes. I can’t bare this situation anymore 😭

Hi ladies Does anyone still take daily
laxatives
after surgery treatment? Oncologist said probably need them for life due to scar tissue. It’s been 3 years now 😬 She doesn’t anticipate any long term side affects. Wonder what you ladies thought. Xx

Funny ish HE take. Well it is Monday after all.
For the next 24 hours I was so pumped full of
laxatives
I lost count of my sprints to the toilet. Eventually I fall asleep that night and wake up the next morning as if nothing had happened. So much so that I thought perhaps I had dreamed the whole thing.

What to eat and drink the day before my lap
I have been given 2 x sachets of bowel
laxatives
, 1 to take at lunch and 1 at around 5pm. I cannot eat or drink from midnight onwards. However, what do I eat. I asked the nurse and she said something light, I asked for examples but she didn't give me any which is strange.
