Hi all, any suggestions for a child who only drinks water so therefore won’t take laxatives? He doesn’t like milk, milkshakes, yoghurt, squash, OJ, custard, hot chocolate.
Can you mix it into ice cream? Melted chocolate and harden it again? Help would be much appreciated. Thanks

We used to mix it in with yogurt on the advice of our GP, as our son wouldn’t drink it at first, so I can’t see why ice cream would be a problem. The GP said to just make sure he drank a glass of water with it. It helped him get used to the taste and now he drinks it no problem.
We started by mixing Miralax into water. Then add lots of ice. And use a straw.
Keep it ice cold. We switched to other drinks once I took my son to go look at all the drinks at the store. He picked out a few to try and I just started mixing. Since then, he has found that he likes vitamin water. Good luck!☺️ 👍🏼
We had trouble at first and tried different squashes, finally settled on elderflower cordial; apparently sharper flavours complement it better. I had to get her to sip down to a mark or bit of the picture on the water bottle or beaker (in that case it was Pepper pig’s dress, knees, and finally her feet). It turned it into a bit of a game and I think at the start I rewarded her with a smartie or something when she got there. Eventually she got used to the taste and now gulps it down, but it took a little time. Patience, untold amounts of it!!
