Constipation/overflow

Mum to 3 boys my oldest nearly 6 has had chronic Constipation since he was 2 he will not go for a poo at all.. we’ve tried literally everything and it’s really starting to take its toll not only on him and his every day life but as a family to I’ve taken him to numerous appointments also A&E a few time to be told this may or may not just be him for the rest of his life and we just have to hope and help with the laxatives.. which we struggle getting down him. Please tell me things will get better he’s been tested for numerous things and the doctors are saying there’s no reason why he can’t poo he just doesn’t want to which result in the constipation.

This sounds like exactly what were going through with our 5 year old son! I really hope things improve......

Hi what medication is he on? My daughter has always been like this. We have to constantly up her medication. I use a diary to track what dose I give and what happens. We’ve tried loads of various things and she’s now on picosulfate
