Hi All! It’s been a while since I posted. On January 4th I am to have one of my knees replaced. Both need to be done but one at a time. The knees are bone on bone and the femur on my right leg is starting to tilt inward. I’m off all meds but can feel symptoms slowly creeping back. I can’t be on any

IRON INFUSION
Hello, Am due to have an iron infusion next Thursday. I would be interested to hear from people who have had/are having iron infusions, whether it has made a difference to their level of energy or other. I understand it will take quite a while to notice any improvement if it works, so how long did it

Absolutely Do Not Use Aeroflow to Travel
Sorry to gritch, but I think everyone should know what this company is like since they are a national supplier for O2 concentrators for travel. A few months ago I went to Baltimore and they failed to include the power cords. They wanted me to pay for overnighting them. Bologna - I pitched a fit and they

My story thanks to Hatsheput.......
I am now 63yrs old and i was diagnosed with ra in 2002. It started in my right side with my fingers. All the pain or mst of the worst pain has been down that side. I thankfully still have my darling hubby and that darling is my carer as well and he does everything for me. He makes a mean Yorkshire pudding

Is this a PMR flare Up?
Morning everyone, I need some advice because I am very confused about where I am with my PMR. I was diagnosed in October 2015 and have been on Prednisolone since then (originally 20mg a day). On 1st October this year I dropped the dose to 1mg/2mg alternate days and on 9th November to 1mg a day. This

Knee Pain
Is Knee replacement advised for someone on Lupron with multiple distant Mets? I asked my MO and I heard him say no but my wife heard it would be okay. Has anyone had knee replacement? I had to stop walking on treadmill because of knee pain, my primary care doctor took xrays and said my knees have little

Sudden Swelling of Legs and Feet
Has anyone else experienced sudden swelling of their feet and legs? All of a sudden out of the blue it started happening. Was referred to a cardiologist and had an echo cardiogram where everything came out as expected. I initially declined any meds after a bad experience with a neurologist who was prescribing

Knocked knees( valgus)
This is kind of a dumb question. Im doing everything I can to avoid surgery, and am finding wt loss and exercise are helping my knee. Someday I may have to bite the bullet and give in. My knees are very knocked, I’m wondering if knee replacement will also correct that deformity?

After knee surgery
I’m having a full knee replacement next week and it’s my 70th birthday 25 days later. Will I be able to go to a restaurant 25 days after my operation or should I cancel my party? Apart from my knee I am quite fit.

Knee replacement
Is knee replacement horrible? I have found my knee doesn’t hurt in warm weather. But it does in colder weather. I was told by a physical therapy friend eating geletin can actually build collagen in between joints. So I made some low sugar jello. When I eat it my knee doesn’t bother me but on days I don
