Antibiotic for UTI
I have been prescribed nitrofurantoin from my surgery for my UTI. Bearing in mind they don’t acknowledge that I have a b12 deficiency, should I be taking them? I did mention it to the triage nurse I spoke. I started B12 injections a couple of weeks ago, so hoping it won’t cause me any problems, but

My latest PSA on 6/11/24 was 1.06 up from 0.65 on 4/2/24. I have a meeting with my MO on 4/26 to discuss the next step. I was taking Opdivo immunotherapy from 2/2023 to 2/2024 for bladder cancer. so far my bladder cancer is in check so now I can focus on my PCA. Should I get a PSMA pet? is it time to

I find this forum useful and informative, especially when members share from their personal experiences. IMO the dropping of the referenced guideline is not an enhancement to this forum. Currently, I am one of the participants in discussions about surgery and ultrasensitive PSA testing. I have considerable

zalkya - what is it? Endo treatment
I’ve today had an appointment with specialist and a bit confused. It was a rushed appointment as he got called to surgery. He said I could go on Zalkya. I’m currently on the mini pill would this be a replacement to mini pill or alongside it - any ideas? Secondly, he suggested I have an ultrasound

PSA Rising
RP 2 years and four months ago. PSA went from <.02 to currently .27, Testosterone at about 600+ Since surgery, there has been no intervention. It looks like it is time to take action. Does the group have any suggestions?

Secondary surgery
Hello I just had my CT scan and it shows some disease progression in the liver area where a small bit of tumour couldn’t be removed at initial surgery. My bloods are good and I’m really well. I’ve got a plan for Chemo. I’ve been reading about secondary surgery and chemo at first recurrence. Has anyone

My how things change
I went for another doctor appointment this afternoon and was told that I should have surgery on my hip. Partial hip, no socket. After looking at the x ray, it makes sense. Wonderful. I get to have a half-ass surgery.😉

Advice needed please
hi everyone. I’ve literally just signed up because I’m so upset and need some advice. After suffering with asthma for 30+ years, my doctor today refused my repeat prescription for a ventolin inhaler. When asked why, the receptionist said I had one in March. I will be booking an appointment tomorrow

Thank you
I stumbled on this forum about 15 to 18 months ago. Just to show you how little I knew and how clueless I was I had no idea there was run of the mill prostrate cancer or an advanced form. I just knew I had prostrate cancer and needed to make a decision - surgery or radiation. I stumbled through this

update on melanoma nail lesion.
Since posting I have been to a medical dermatological photographer who took photographs with dermascope and also photos for an AI software analysis. The AI analysis came back with 95% likelihood of malignant lesion. Now seeing dermatologist on Sat 22 June, 12 days from now, but quickest available.
