I just had my CT scan and it shows some disease progression in the liver area where a small bit of tumour couldn’t be removed at initial surgery. My bloods are good and I’m really well. I’ve got a plan for Chemo.
I’ve been reading about secondary surgery and chemo at first recurrence. Has anyone got experience of this? Wondering about second opinion? I hear amazing things about a Greek lady surgeon at the Hammersmith.

I am on my fourth relapse I am going to see Miss Fotopoulo on Monday at Hammersmith but I have to pay private for now I will post any news this is a second opinion feel so let down by my oncologist and hospital cannot go on like this hoping for better news and some attention would be nice
I’m so sorry to hear about your experience with your local team. I am really happy with my team and are seeing my oncologist and surgeon next week locally. I trust them but my gut is telling me if my surgeon says surgery isn’t an option in their opinion I have to ask the question of a second opinion. I would appreciate you letting me know how you get on but completely understand this is a private matter. Good luck xx
Hello, I didn't have a recurrence in the liver but the clavicle lymph node which is a more common in low grade. I know the survivor in Greece well as we both have the same type/stage of endometroid low grade impressed with her team very progressive I think she's having a consult for a type of radiation for the liver. Since I was 22 months NED when I had my recurrence, platinum sensitive 6 carbo/taxol.

Hi, I had my initial surgery done after a second opinion with Prof Christina, and it was the best thing I could have done! I had to pay private as I am in Wales, and the NHS wasn't transferable. She is very straight and to the point, but if she can help, then she will, she moves very quickly, so be prepared. Good luck x
