Knee surgery

I’ve been waiting for knee replacement surgery for over a year now. It seems the anaesthetic teams are so worried to touch me stating it’s because I had an ablation last year. I would be having it done under epidural so I’m not being put under.

On behalf of my OH who has a knee problem. I've already been through knee issues and ultimately knee replacement surgery, November 2015. My OH remembers those days quite well and is probably in denial of what I went through. That was some 9 & half years ago now ......

I was on a healing journey until I had a intense knee surgery. It spiraled into sadness because no one called, checked in or anything. My partner was there but focused on work. Lost a baby along the way in September which sent me into darker territory.

I am due for knee replacement with spinal block soon do you think this will be possible?

It was benign, but I had to have surgery and it took me months to heal. As soon I was cleared for regular activity I tore my meniscus in my knee. My insurance wouldn't pay for an MRI for 7 months of pain. Now I'm going to have knee surgery on the 24th of this month. I also have a thyroid problem.

First the good news, I'm continuing to do well after my knee surgery. It's been six weeks, and I'm walking around well, driving, off the pain medications, and working on regaining stamina for normal activities.

My other knee will be replaced in the autumn. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I've been on the waiting list for knee replacement for a year and was told I'll have to wait til after next march when I come off clopidogrel for surgery.

The only reason all this came about is because I went for a pre-op assessment for knee surgery and they found a heart murmur. I have a cardiac angiogram appointment next week so hopefully this will shed more light on it all.

I am hoping for a good report as no chest infection since January and a go ahead health wise for a complete knee replacement surgery in the next couple of months. Pre assessment has been made and all the tests done until the date .🙃🤞

I was working before I had knee surgery and being at work helped occupy my mind, but I'm limited and now for about 3 years I've been looking for work that I can do but unfortunately I've been blacklisted and I can't get a job.

I have Fibro and other problems, but, following a fall in the garden, it was established that as well as Osteoarthritis, I had damaged my knee. Six weeks ago I had complete knee replacement surgery. I am having problems bending my knee. I was discharged with codeine prossphate and paracetamol.

It does sound as if it is likely to at least postpone knee replacement surgery and possibly replace it for many patients.

On top of it I am undergoing a battle to get a different surgeon to fix the mistakes that my previous surgeon has made during my last knee surgery that left me in pain and still in crutches since 1 year and half almost two years..

On top of everything I am fighting to have another knee surgery as last operation created other painful and mobility issues, still using crutches..

I developed RSL after recent arthroscopic knee surgery. From what I have read on this site the RSL started due to the emetic included in the anesthesia. I don't understand why the RSL was triggered at this particular time, and not previously with other surgeries when the emetic was requested.

Hi, I was diagnosed with RLS about 12 yrs ago, weeks after my first knee replacement. I have read that others also didn’t have it until after hip and knee surgery. I’ve been put on all the old dopamine drugs in the past which all resulted in augmentation.

I would like to avoid knee replacement surgery if possible as I have read the horror stories of people hospitalized for an injury or surgery that have underlying PD. Any information would be appreciated.

surgery, where the surgeon has created other issues (and stillhe is still trying to brush it under the carpet) I am awaiting another operation from another surgeon and my old surgeon is gosting me, not taking any responsibility of his wrong doing all .

High folks, went to see my consultant a few days ago, asked when I was getting my 1st surgery and we discovered I am NOT on the waiting list. This is apparently due to a CLERICAL ERROR with the orthopedic department.
