PSA Rising and Falling during Chemo
I have been receiving chemotherapy since November 2023. Started with Docetaxel until it failed after 7 cycles. Switched to Cabazitaxel and currently on the 5th cycle. Since starting the Cabazitaxil my PSA has been raising and lowering. I am currently having some scans done to confirm if there is progression

Visual issues; feedback on meetings with the RNIB. 1 good and 2 bad.

New fatty liver diagnosis
Hi All, today I had a fibro scan which revealed that my liver has no scarring with a score of 3.9kpa which was good news, however, the cap score was 307 which was worrying. I gave up alcohol 6 months ago following an attack of acute pancreatitis and being hospitalised for 4 days, this event was enough

Really good news
I just wanted to share my story in case it helps others. In December last year I had an ultrasound scan and the results were probable cirrhosis, portal vein hypertension and varices. There were also "suspicious lesions". Fast Forward to a biopsy I had last month (following over six months of abstinence

Does this sound right? Any advice appreciated.
My dad, 82 yo male had a previous PSA score that hovered around 3 and then went up to 5. Had MRI/CT which came up clear last year and a prostate biopsy (11 samples, noted prostatitis and BPH) in September last year which was also clear. Took PSA again in December 2023, it jumped to 15. Took PSA in February

Rasagiline and Mucuna together?
My MDS is a huge fan of rasagiline and I’ve taken it for almost 3 years, and want to continue to take Mucuna and carbidopa as needed along with it. I've read that Mucuna should not be taken with rasagiline. Is there any truth to this? I’m not going to stop taking rasagiline, and I’d rather not start

Enlarged liver and spleen
I'm so sorry to bother everyone again, it's just that I have [yet another] question. My liver and spleen are enlarged as a result of my cirrhosis - by not drinking, exercising and eating cleanly, is there any chance of the liver and spleen shrinking back to close to the size they should be? Thank you

Is it common to get laryngitis with aps?
I have what seems like laryngitis for 4 weeks now. I'm struggling to talk for long. I'm seeing my ENT doctor Thursday for my ears and hope he will help with my throat (probably won't because it's ear clinic). Just wanted to say I haven't had any sort of virus before this I'm just wondering if aps can

Can medication elevate the PSA?
My PSA at time of the cancer diagnosis was 5.56. Being in the hospital right now with several meds surging through me, the PSA is at 348.00. Is this a normal reaction?

hi Forgot to mention… I’ve been taking multivitamins which obviously contain iodine, as I’ve just been diagnosed with overactive thyroid should I stop taking them?? Not yet on medication I'm currently waiting for carbimazole prescription.
