Psa at dx 139.

Orgovyx and Nubeqa dropped it to 62.93

Started Docetaxil

#1 Psa 23.91

#2 Psa 11.41

#3 Psa 7.15

#4 Psa 4.15

#5 Psa 2.38

#6 Psa 1.66

MO wanted to continue to 8. I agreed . There was a 6 week delay before #7. I took a Psa test right before 7 and it had dropped to 0.841 pleasantly surprised it continued to fall.

#7 Psa 0.854 What the heck. Up is bad, down is good. Not sure how to decipher the uptake result.

Does it make any sense to go another round ? Any thoughts on why it would head north instead of south? Thanks for any replies

Are you handling the chemo well? If so, do 8 as your MO says!!

It's tolerable. Don't really care for the wbc shot the next day. I had an appointment with my MO today. Infusion #7 psa was not available before my 5 minute appointment was concluded. They herd us through like cattle. I checked my portal when I got home and discovered I had spun my wheels with #7 as far as the psa response. I have a messege in asking if the 8th is still needed based on no response of my last psa. Will see if he deems it appropriate after he reviews the updated psa. Not interested in doing another infusion if I'm in a holding pattern and not getting much out of it. Thanks for your reply.

Maybe you're just expecting an additional drop too quickly. Doesn't chemo keep working for some period after it's administered? Maybe these are the toughest cancer cells you're doing with on Round 7; the first 6 zapped the low hanging fruit. Just a thought!

After 6 infusions I met with the APRN about my scans. She stated the chemo had put out the fire but I had some smoldering timbers that could use additional help. Made sense. I just didn't expect an increase in the results with #7. She did state chemo will continue to work for a bit after someone is finished with it. Maybe the test numbers are within the margins of error. Somehow with my dx I've turned into a half empty kinda guy. I'll need to work on that as this journey were on is going to have peaks a valley's. Thank you for your reply

FWIW… I just finished the 6th infusion and am not healthy enough to continue. I asked my MO yesterday if my PSA might drop as my body healed and becomes stronger. She said “I fully expect that”. I don’t know if that was just happy-talk or if there is science behind it. My triple therapy was the same meds as yours.

Thxs for your reply GCMPD. Sounds like trending down after finishing is what's is expected. I do hope you continue to heal as well as your psa continues to drop. Be well.
