Hi guys.I have just received my 6 months routine MRI Scan results . Like the other 5 scans I've had they've shown no features of concern and my next routine scan is booked for 6 months. The monitoring liver blood result was normal ( AFP <1). On the blood form for the next scan it shows Cirrhosis CPT A . Can anyone tell me what this means as I have not been told anything about the readings.

The CPT is the Child Pugh Score - it goes from A to C with A being the less serious end of things, C the most severe.
AFP is Alpha fetoptotein (a tumour indicator) so normal is excellent news.

Thanks for your Katie, that's good news. It's the first time I've seen the CPT reading so I was a bit concerned. I know I have Cirrhosis and it can't be reversed but I think that abstaining from alcohol and cigarettes and healthy eating and exercise have helped me a lot since being diagnosed 3 years ago with Decompensated Cirrhosis. ( Jaundice),no other symptoms. Do you think that my Liver stiffness could go down or is it not possible with Cirrhosis. My Fibroscan reading was 20.4 two and a half years ago.Anyway enough of me, how's your hubby doing, I hope he's doing well and he has a speedy recovery.
Thanks again for the reply and sorry for the long read.
All the best x.
Nip1.
