Heartburn, help!
I have been on 15mg Lansoprazole for over two years for heartburn and reflux due to small hiatus hernia. Four weeks ago Lansoprazole stopped working and even though I upped the dose to 30mg, I am still getting heartburn, sometimes at night (thought I was having a heart attack!). I have tried everything

Angioplasty support
I am new to the forum and just wanted to provide any support for anyone undergoing a stent procedure or recovering from one. I am a 61 year old male and I kept myself active with running, sailing, cycling etc. However, I started to become breathless when walking the dog. Net result was that I needed

COMPLETELY CONFUSED and in Need of Help, please
In June last year I had a blood test via the NHS and I was promptly called into the GP surgery and told that 'they' had been over-medicating me and I must reduce my dose of Levo straight away. I was on 125 mcg, and she suggested I should go down to 0.75. mcg. She also sent me for an Osteoporosis scan

Costochondritis: have many of you been diagnosed with this a year or two after CABG?
Just been given diagnosis of this - Costochondritis - after an ECG and review by good Doctor. I had some increase in general chest pain for 2-3 weeks, and various other aches and pains. My concern was the pain was a sign of circulation issues but have been reassured this is non Cardiac but just a consequence

Firstly, I am so grateful to have found you all. I am going through this completely alone. I don't even have confidence in my rheumatologist. I need some advice on Nexium...anyone got any experience with this? Background: diagnosed end of November 2019 (One week after my 70th birthday!) (PMR, then

Goodbye to prednisolone thanks to Leflunomide
I promised to report on how helpful Leflunomide was in tapering off pred. I was fortunate and didn't have any ill effects, in fact it helped remove many of the aches and feelings of illness which I had. Under my rheumy, I tapered down to one milligram of pred and then, following his instructions, stopped

Coming off PPIs for endoscopy
I've was diagnosed with limited systemic sclerosis 5 years ago although I've had symptoms for a lot longer, including reflux for 30 years and swallowing problems when eating for about 5. I was scheduled for an endoscopy today, mainly to rule out any other causes of my worsening dysphagia and reflux.

High Bilirubin on first blood test.
I’m new here, perhaps worrying too much at this stage. Also blood test which came back with high Bilirubin levels, I have been asked to have

Left sided headache for 10 weeks and internal tremor for 6 months
Dear friends, I hope you are all as well as you can be and I just wondered if anyone could provide any advice? Re: headache, GCA has been ruled out as ESR and CRP levels are normal, wondering if it could be migrainous? I am slightly nauseous and not that keen on food at the moment. OTC pain relief doesn

Hi all, new to this site and though I would share my recent experience. I take 2mg of ropinerole nightly to control my restless legs. The ropinerole comes with side effects for me, initially I started vomiting and my GP thought the ropinerole was causing me to create too much stomach acid so added omeprazole

Introducing me and my situation! Apologies for such a long post!
Hi. I had a HA at the end of September age 46. I have a strong family history so had heart health check annually. Always came back ok with no action required so HA a bit of a shock. Never drank or smoked, very busy daily life with work, being a Mum and caring for my Mum (she sadly died in July). I’d
