Food sticking -Kind words and support please
Hi everyone! I'll try and keep this as short as possible. I am 34 years old. In March 2019 I had an endoscopy due to persistent heartburn this showed a small hiatal hernia and NERD and was put on omeprazole. Then in May my mum was diagnosed with stage 4 oesophageal cancer and she passed over in December

Naproxen
I am just under 3 months post ablation for svt. March 17 I was diagnosed with costochondritis after a bout with pleurisy via viral infection. I was put on naproxen. My question is, can naproxen cause palpitations? And it also feels like my heart is working harder. For example when I take my daily walk

How I overcame IBS-D
Dear all, I periodically post this advice to help new-comers to the subject. I consider myself a recovered IBS-sufferer and so like to share what I learned. I hope that you are keeping sane during the lockdown! This is my general approach to help people understand and repair their gastro-intestinal

Blurred Vision/Atorvastatin?
I have been noticing an intermittent problem with my vision over the past few weeks, maybe a bit longer. In mainly one eye I sometimes get blurred vision, sometimes it is almost like there is a little cloud over the word I am looking at, with the surrounding ones clearer although still a bit blurred,

Covid 19 or GERD?
Hi all, I’m a newbie on this site although I’m also on rheumatoid site 🙄. I’ve suffered with reflux for a few years, my stress over past 3 years has been immense and I thought I was at long last getting to grips after stress started to relent and I changed my eating habits. So much so I stopped taking

Propranolol and omeprazole interfering with conversion of T4 to T3.
Does anyone know how much Propranolol or Omeprazole interferes with T4 to T3. I am on 20mg omeprazole and 160mg of Propranolol (prolonged release). I take these when I get up and don't take my levothyroxine until late at night.

Weird IBS symptoms - any sound familiar?
So I've had IBS for about 2.5 years now. Started after a neurologist told me to cut out cheese and alcohol or a few months. Once I re-introduced them my problems began. Anyway, I've got to a point where the symptoms were mostly manageable by 20mg Omeprazole before my morning meal. I'd occasionally get

Stomach acid meds , which one plus chest pain goes on and on
Hi All , I was on 2.5mg of Pred , stomach was coping ok, had a flare up and increased to 4.5mg didn’t stop the rib and sternum pain but made it bearable, I have a lot of fluid build up on both ends of my left collarbone hoping that is what is causing the chest pain I was told by the surgeon that repaired

Reflux and asthma
Hi everyone. I have been coughing to the point of retching. Been to see consultant who said it is silent reflux and that it is common with asthmatics. Has anyone experienced this. I have been put on omeprazole. Would be grateful for any advice.

Also weak in hips and out of breath when I try to do anything. Exactly what happens when I fail a medication. I am on orencia and inject max dosage

Severe abdominal bloating
Hi. First time poster here and looking for help. In October last year I had the worst abdominal bloating ever. No pain. It was there all day but increased after meals. I’m very slim so it’s really noticeable and really depressing me. My GP checked my bloods to rule out ovarian cancer and found the following

REFLUX IS A DISEASE, NOT A BAD MEAL CHOICE
Reflux (also called Gastro-Oesophageal Reflux Disease, or GORD) is caused by a weak muscle in your oesophagus called the Lower Oesophageal Sphincter (LOS). The LOS is your body's reflux barrier. Normally your reflux barrier acts like a one-way valve, allowing food and liquid to pass into the stomach
