I’m on Losartan and Felodipine for high blood pressure since 2021. But I am having nausea and upper tummy pain. GP prescribed Omeprazole which I’ve been taking since November. Nausea better but tummy pain still bad at times. I think it’s the medication but the pharmacist at GP surgery says not. Does anyone else have these issues. I’m awaiting an endoscopy (😱) too.

I had an inflamed stomach for months on olmesartsan which an endoscopy confirmed. Meds for BP were changed for me and now I don’t have any issue. I guess you’ve raised your suspicions before your investigation … and it is certainly worth mentioning/reminding your physicians about what you’ve noticed if you think it’s the tablets. Best of luck with it all.
I’ve been on Losartan for 4 years, had lots of issues with stomach acid problems, they could never find an issue with my gut. I used to take my Losartan in the morning after breakfast. But now when I wake I drink 1-2 glasses of water and then take the Losartan. Since then I’ve been able to stop the Omeprezole and I don’t suffer with acid any longer. For some reason in me the stomach reacted to Losartan on top of food. Worth a try for a week or so.
Good luck with the camera! It’s not pleasant, I tried without sedation and couldn’t do it so had to be put out
thank you. That is helpful. I take Losartan as soon as I wake up, but I don’t have much water with it. I will try drinking more water with it. I will ask for sedation with the camera!
HiI can sympathise with you. I take bisoprolol lanzaprazole and entresto and have constant upset tummy and pain in my upper abdomen. I have told my HF nurse but haven't been offered any real advice. It really effects me daily especially when I'm at work, very embarrassing. I drink loads of water to flush it through. My endoscopy showed mild GERD.
that is interesting. I don’t like drinking water but have tried to drink more to help. I agree that it’s embarrassing when not at home. The omeprazole has helped with nausea but not the upper tummy pain. I’ll try more water. Thank you for replying.
