Joint pain.
The Dr thinks I may have RA I have had excrutiating pain for some months now but the pain seems to have gone away almost overnight although I still feel a bit stiff. Would this happen? I did have pain early this year and this also disappeared after a couple of weeks but this time has lasted 4 months

Afib and sam-e
I have afib and osteoarthritis in knee and hip. Heart doctor doesn't like celecoxib and other nsaids, says they have heart health risks. I recently read that sam-e works as well as celecoxib. But, it has a risk of afib. Would appreciate any insights anybody has regarding sam-e and afib?

Hello everyone, this is my first time. Does anyone know anything about "End Stage" RA ?
I have had Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) for almost 20 years. It has been a struggle. I was unresponsive to many treatment plans. Finally rituxin infusions eased the pain and progression. Now I am taking only meloxicame and leflunomide. I have entered "end stage" RA. Which is why I was searching online

Fibromyalgia and arthritis
Starting jogging on treadmill but suffering knee, foot and hip pain due to fibromyalgia, inflammatory arthritis and plantar fasciitis. Also have strained muscle in hip and rotator cuff damage. Anyone else in a similar situation ? I'm in pain 24/7 anyway and usually just carry on regardless but jogging

Anyone any idea of the waiting times to see a Rheumatologist in Scotland (Lothian area)?
Hi, I have been put on the waiting list to see a rheumatologist, for suspected psoriatic arthritis, but it's been almost two months and still no word of an appointment time. Anyone any idea how long they are currently waiting here in Scotland? I'm in Edinburgh. I'm tired of being sore and breathless,

Arthritis, prostate cancer.
Hello I am suffering with the two ailments in the title. The prostate cancer is Gleason 6 and I've had it for 7 years now in a watchful waiting protocol. it appears to be stable. I don't really have a big problem with it but would like to know of anything new in this area as my hips are sore and that

Stiff, painful swollen hands and feet
Has anyone experienced rheumatoid arthritis symptoms with Hashimotos? I’ve read that if you have one autoimmune condition, you’re more likely to get others. I’ve never had any hand issues previously, but recently experienced a sudden onset of symptoms after reintroducing some foods while on the AIP diet

Is there really a Nationwide Shortage of Hydromorphine?
Is there really a shortage of Hydromorphine in All Hopitals? Well it's been some time since I've followed up on my last post and you'll all be pleased to hear "I'm still alive" for those of you that haven't heard from me😩 Unfortunately, I'm now weelchair bound and on more medication that small chemists

Wrist Arthritis
I am in my early 80s and have had a form of arthritis off and on in either wrist for about 20 years but just recently I have had a quite severe 'attack'. I also experienced for the first time ever an attack of gout in my left foot. I read an article suggesting that arthritis and gout may happen together

Steroid withdrawal syndrome?
Hello all. It's been a while since I posted here. Having been diagnosed with probable fibromyalgia, I thought that was the end of things. However, I notice from the fibromyalgia pages of this site that my symptoms aren't really in keeping with theirs. In brief, I have muscle and joint pain, but that's

Cloudy with a Chance of Pain? Smartphone study shows pain more likely on humid, windy days
Although not strictly on-topic, so many here have reported pain issues, I thought this of at least passing interest. [i]

It is worth scrolling down to Fig. 1 showing T4, T3, rT3, T2 and the role of

Anyone else have puffy pudgy fingers every morning even when normal at bedtime.
I was diagnosed with RA,and or PSA or both a year ago. Since I am sero negative the Rhuematologist isn't sure. My wrists are badly swollen and lots of bone erosion in fingers and wrists. l have been able to control swelling and pain in the wrists somewhat with severe diet restrictions (Vegan) but not
