Total Knee Replacement tips with RA
Hi I am wondering if I can get any tips or recovery advice from members with Rheumatoid Arthritis that have had total knee replacements. I have an upcoming knee replacement in November. I will have to stop my Humira I think, so any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated. I know that I will be

Nasal flu vaccine transmission
For anyone who has children, or close contact, and is on immunosuppressants, have you been around children who have had the live flu vaccine and been ok? Psoriatic arthritis
Hi everyone. So, after a year and a half of worsening joint pain and numerous tests, a rheumatologist has diagnosed me with early psoriatic arthritis and prescribed methotrexate. My concern is that nothing whatsoever has ever shown up on any tests. ESR and CRP are low (lower than normal actually).

For the past maybe 2/3 months I’ve now noticed more uncomfortableness in my left hand , the knuckle at base of little finger and wedding finger hurt to bend after

advice on sulfasalazine and the sun
I have been told by my rheumatologist nurse that I need to start taking sulfasalazine for my reactive arthritis, as I had a steroid injection after taking steroids orally, but it’s still not keeping the joint stiffness at bay completely . I’m not happy as I was under the impression that reactive arthritis

Anaemia and R.Arthritis
Hi after a recent routine blood test (due to be being on methotrexate) I have recently been told I am anaemic and following more tests, have now been referred to the hospital for a colonoscopy. I am now thinking it might be 'pay back time' for that the cocktail of drugs I have been taking over the

PMR & Osteoarthritis in Knees
I have been added to the waiting list for knee replacement. I am trying to loose weight which I feel will help the pain in my knees. They can be very stiff some days and difficult to bend and I do get pain in the back of my thighs and shin splint pain too. I wonder if this is part of PMR ? I would hate

How can they really know?
I'm a bit perplexed as to how they can really tell the difference between OA and RA.I have heard of so many people that are told they have RA, to later be told it's OA. My arthritis symptoms have changed somewhat and are affecting other areas of my body and I don't know whether to bother mentioning

Does this sound like osteoarthritis - or something else?
Hi everyone, I wonder if I can please get some help. I’ve been experiencing widespread body pain for c.3 years. I initially put this down to the menopause and earlier this year I started to focus on my under active thyroid - I’m not yet optimally medicated for that (takes a while). In May I decided
