you can purchase wrist loops quite cheaply if you just Google them. Your sticks then remain attached to you. There might be more ingenious solutions if you contact mobility shops. All the best with your op, I hope it is a great success!
I had sticks after my hip op. I must admit I did not even think that my sticks would fall over. I did have a grabber though which picked up everything and was a lifesaver.
I was lucky enough to find a cheap rollator at a charity shop for £5. I used it pre and post op (really useful for nighttime trips to the loo too). I still use it sone times when my back hurts and I am 3 years post op.
Hi Daisy, I have had a hip replacement almost 7 weeks ago. I used to use sticks before the op but after they gave me crutches which were so much better than sticks! I wish I’d used them before. Get a “Grabber” then if you change to crutches they are easy to pick up. Hopefully you get your op soon
thank you for your reply, hopefully I will hear in the next couple of weeks, my hip is so painful I can hardly go up stairs, will try crutches hopefully after my op, I have a grabber my 6 year old grandson loves it, I leave things laying around so he can use it !
