IVIG Infusions
My hematologist has decided that I would benefit from
IVIG
infusions during the winter months, as he is worried I could damage my lungs. Any advice on these infusions would be great please. Thanks Colnegirl

Considering splenectomy to treat ITP
Hi - I have ITP and have been treated with Prednisone, Dapsone and
IVIG
intermittently for the past 3 years with no real success at getting my platelets above 50 000. My count is normally between 30 000 - 40 000 whilst on Prednisone - its lower when on no drugs.

I am permanently tired and haveb

Steroids & IVig only works briefly, anybody experienced this?
Next
IVIg
which again worked for a week but now dropped to 8. His red & white cells are normal, bone marrow fine, no hiv or lupus etc just waiting for CT scan results. just in case of lymphoma but no syptoms. They are starting him on Rituximab this Friday. So fingers & toes crossed.

Spontaneous remission of stage 3 Burkitt's recurrence with very minimal treatment
At the end of his regimen he was also dx'd with spinal stenosis and common variable immunodeficiency (CVID) which means he has no immune system and needs 10-12hr immunoglobulin infusions (
IVIG
) every 28 days. But he survived it all.

TODDLER WITH ITP
Treated his ITP with
IVIG
. My question is -did any of you audults maybe have this when younger and it was not diagnosed. I am afraid that he will have this as an adult. His platelets have been good since February after treatment. The doctor believes he may never have a problem again

Saw EP today
If AF episodes do become frequent then may consider another ablation but that would mean
IVIG
treatment prior to any sedation so rather not unless it really effects QOL. I am one happy and relieved bunny. And feeling quite well at present.

ITP – Need more options
I have tried, Prednisone,
IVIG
, Rituxan, MMF, Nplate and a few others I can't think of at the moment. The only drug that seems to work is Nplate although the weekly Dr visit are not fun. Without drugs my count is usually 4-17. My new goal is to get the splenectomy.

About doctor Jill Schofield.
She believes the reason was most likely the increasing number of patients she has tried to get
IVIG
and other immune therapies for and the huge amount of time and effort it takes both on the part of the physician as well as the staff to make this happen, since none of these therapies are approved for
