I have been receiving infusions of IVIG (immunoglobulin) on a monthly basis for many years for a immune deficiency disorder. I have noticed hair growth around my temples that is not my natural hair color or texture. I wonder if this is a result of the infusions of the donor antibodies I receive.

Our daughter has had 4 rounds of ivig. Her brain swelling (basal ganglia) has practically returned to normal however her behavioural issues indicate scarring to the frontal lobe and loss of executive function. The neurologists have suggested stopping monthly ivig as the inflammation has gone down.

I had to have two rounds of IVig and took Promacta. Once my platets returned to nomal I stopped all medication. One and a half years later it mysteriously returned and my platets were at 1. That only required one round of IVig and promacta. Within a week my platets returned to nor mal.

I attended the Royal Bournemouth Hospital - Jigsaw Building on Saturday, and was advised that all non chemo treatments (Blood transfusions, IVIG treatments, etc) are to now be provided by the Poole Hospital. Just providing the Heads-Up to any Bournemouth Hospital patients.

I am to begin IVIG next week. I mentioned this to my Oncologist that Pulmonologist wants me to begin ivig, He says that's fine. Your Immunoglobulin IS low but I have some patients that are in the hospital it's so low. My question: is this the norm?

Hi fellow travelers, I have questions about IVIg. I never had IgG levels checked at diagnosis, in 2014. I’ve had frequent infections over the years, and then my CLL “bloomed” in late ‘22 and I started Acalabrutinib. I’ve been on it a year and a half.

good morning I have been taking IVIG, but had a problem with blistering and mouth sores. So, it was recommended that I try subcutaneous IG. my question is about insurance coverage IN the United States I am on Medicare [ an HMO] and have of secondary and drug coverage insurance.

I do get IVIg every10 weeks for the last year. I am not sure when the best time to get my RSV vaccine in between the infusion time line. My blood work is stable except IgG

She responded very well to IVIG and steroids for 5 days. She left hospital feeling well enough to return to Uni and work. She has autoimmune encephalitis seronegative. In late August she deteriorated and returned to hospital in September for another round of IVIG and Methyl Pred.

I originally had an IV of IVIG, then was doing another IV (don't recall the medication) every 2 weeks and did that for nearly a year. I was on Levofloxacin 500mg, every day then every other day. BK was discovered not very long after my transplant.

IVIG Treatment: He was given two bottles of IVIG (intravenous immunoglobulin) along with Dstron. His platelet count increased from 8,000 to 56,000 within a two days, and he was discharged. Platelet Count Fluctuations: • After a week, his platelet count dropped again to 18,000.

I have had three IVIg infusions, once a month, & the rash started to appear the day before my third infusion & 2 weeks after the CT scan.

He was transferred the next day, 24 hours later his platelets had dropped to 32 and the plan was for IVIG to be done at Nottingham under the supervision of his rheumatologist.

hi, everyone, my husband takes daily Acalabrutinib and receives monthly IVIG for CLL, and has been doing wonderfully, running several miles a day and in general great health. Last week, after two consecutive work trips, he spiked a fever.
